"The sale in Freedom was huge and glad to hear you found so many treasures to purchase. We tried to keep our prices fair so that we were able to sell most of the household content. The staff at Before You Move pride themselves on friendly customer service and I will let them know of your kind words. Thank you for taking the time to write this review. It is very much appreciated."
"Thank you [Member Name Removed] for taking the time to review us. So glad we could be of service to you."
"The White Oak Sale was definitely a packed house with many treasures and glad to hear one of our crew personally assisted you in selecting that perfect item. I encourage you to sign up for our email list and watch the videos we post of upcoming sales on our Face Book page. Also, thank you for taking the time to post this review and rest assured I will let our staff know of your glowing review."
"Thank you for taking the time to write a review on my behalf to Angie's List. As to your suggestion of an inventory prior to the liquidation in most cases would be extremely beneficial. Some exceptions would apply but for the most part a good idea. It was truly a pleasure working with you and your sister and wish you both a Happy Holiday!"
"My reply will be limited since the respondent is not my client and I must adhere to client confidentiality. Of course the staff knew about the hidden keys. The client is the one who turned the keys over to the Before You Move crew and both parties together selected the hiding place. Drill press was not stolen and it was being picked up the following morning after the sale as was the free standing tool chest. Both were clearly marked sold. Purchaser was not able to remove these items the day of the sale and client was informed of this. You were not...since you are not the client. As to your claim that a picture was produced of the drill press and then the stories changed. I have no clue what you are referring to and the story has never changed. Drill press & free standing tool chest sold. No cover up, miscommunication or concessions made. Why is it you make reference to the drill press but not the free standing tool chest? Clean out does donate, did donate and will provide a donation slip. Cheryl the office manager for the clean out did not have client's new mailing address. The client or the family could have very easily called the charity to verify the items donated. Clean out boss nor myself have never alluded that the Washington Mission would be the charity to receive unsold items. Clean out resides in a county north of Washington and has no idea as to the location of the mission. Never once did I tell the client to have her family back off or we are pulling out. A contract had been signed and my company had an obligation to honor it. Clean out telephoned me after a little over an hour of being onsite the following day to say they were leaving. Those present made it extremely clear their presence was not welcomed. They would return Monday. Trash was to be placed curbside as stated in the contract. Given the fact that the closing date was originally slated Monday following the sale it was decided that a dumpster would be used and not the municipal hauler. I did a walk through with client and family members selecting pieces that would not be accepted by the charity and therefore placed in the dumpster. Once again, you were not present or aware of this. To clarify another misstatement you made...the dumpster size and price is not determined after the sale. It must be ordered ahead of time. Given the location of the residence and the roadways surrounding the property the owner of the dumpster company personally determined the usual 30 yard would not fit. Client's son in law agreed and a 20 yard with high sides would be delivered and the price was stated and agreed upon. No surprises. As a side note...the son in law was employed by a well known trash hauler and agreed the dumpster prices were fair and in line. A second dumpster was ordered since the clean out crew graciously agreed to return for another day and remove all items/debris not associated with the sale (rotted lumber, broken flower pots, building materials, etc.). Finally, I have never had any conversations with you prior, during or after the liquidation. How on earth you can freely state these unfounded and outlandish statements is beyond me! Especially the financial settlement. At no time did I make the final totals privy to you and your figures are bizarre at best. The client is a sweet lady who most definitely was and is being influenced by outsiders."
"Thank you very much for your glowing review. With your busy schedule lately I am truly grateful for the time you found from your busy schedule to rate my company. At the close of business on the day of the sale I commended you for being a wonderful client and once again, it was my pleasure to be of service to you."
"I appreciate you taking the time to give myself and my crew such a glowing review/recommendation. We all take extreme pride in the set up, sale day and lastly the removal of our client's treasures. You also were pleasant and wonderful to work with."
"The above mentioned client was a nervous wreck about the limited parking situation at the estate sale my company did on her behalf. Hats off to the parking attendant who kept things going smoothly by accommodating all those vehicles that needed a place to park for the liquidation. Once that task was accomplished everything just fell into place. I will relate your kind words back to my crew as to their set up/staging skills. They take great pride in the job they do and we all appreciate your referral."
"Thank you for your review. You are a kind an person who goes the extra mile to help someone and it was my pleasure to be of service to you. It was indeed a difficult sale but in the end all went well. I will see the appraiser is made aware of your praises. Best of luck to you and your family."
"I am responding to the above review submitted to Angie's List regarding an estate sale I conducted on 6-24-17 in Whitehall. I do not understand as to why the sale hours should have been extended. It was never brought to my attention that there was a problem with the sale hours. The hours of operation are clearly outlined in the contract .There was an exterior sign placed in the front yard (5) days prior to the sale advertising the day and time of the liquidation. The claim that "most items were not sold" is incorrect. On the initial visit I pointed out specific items that most likely would not sell. A typical estate sale sells 70% of items available for public purchase. I tried to be specific on the inventory sheet as best I could pertaining to individual items sold. A (3) sheet, double column, line item by line item, front and back page inventory was presented to the client immediately after the sale. One entire bedroom set sold. Seventy five percent of the kitchen, juke box, flat screen television, over half of the garage sold as did the game room. Not to mention sports memorabilia, china, entire large Lenox collection, bar ware, etc. It was a profitable sale. I was truly shocked at the allegation that payment was not received. Payment was mailed within forty eight hours after the sale and according to my bank records was cashed (4) days after. After the public sale was completed the clean out crew arrived onsite day before trash pickup. They were greeted by the client and proceeded to do a walk through. It was discussed as to what items would be donated to charity and the items that were being placed curbside. All seemed well as the crew proceeded to do their job. Early afternoon client returned to the sale site observing the large trash pile that had been placed curbside. Items in dispute included stained upholstered chairs, black vinyl sofa w/tear that had been covered w/duct tape, fiberboard furniture, mattresses & box springs. I assumed all was well when the crew received praise and compliments on a job well done by this client. Shortly thereafter, I received an unexpected text complaining furiously about the amount of donatable furniture being placed out for trash. The clean out crew is very experienced in choosing the most amount of items that the charitable organizations will accept as outlined in the contract. I understand there was sentimental attachment to all items onsite and this was a difficult process to approach. However, I feel my company did a wonderful & profitable job for the client involved. I am sure time will soften your stance on this situation."
"No parking was permitted on the lawn of the homeowner and the next door neighbor. The signs clearly posted "No Parking." The homeowner and especially the neighbor were adamant about this. Very few patrons ignored the signs however, this gentleman did. He was asked to move his car from the lawn of the homeowner and once again to move as he had then proceeded to block parked cars. You are correct when you state that he sped away angry. That was obvious as he sprayed gravel with his tires onto the [Member Information Removed] and at the neighbor's parked car."
"I had an independent art appraiser examine this piece and advise me as to the value and background. After evaluating the Adolph Dehn and speaking with the owner of the water color as to the history of the piece the appraiser felt it was worth $4000 and that $1500 was a very fair price for it to be offered at the estate sale. Mr. [Member Name Removed] purchased the Aoph Dehn and upon further examination discovered it was a reproduction not an original. He then proceeded to contact the appraiser who re-examined and re-evaluated the piece and agreed with Mr. [Member Name Removed] that he had made a mistake. The appraiser refunded Mr. [Member Name Removed] the $1500 he paid for the water color. Mr. [Member Name Removed] has never personally spoken with me about the water color. I am therefore perplexed as to why he is seeking reimbursement from me when this situation has already been settled according to the appraiser. Mr. [Member Name Removed] also chose to involve the Better Business Bureau with this complaint and the BBB after speaking with the appraiser found that his complaint had no merit."

We set an appointment and thoroughly discussed the entire process. Sue's crew came in and priced all the items, ran the sale, and left her home ready to sell.
Sue and her team are true professionals in this field; they were absolutely fantastic people to work with in our time of need. I give my highest recommendation to Sue and Before You Move!
"I appreciate your kind words and allow me to say it was a true pleasure working for you. My company's commitment to provide our customers with the best possible estate sale experience definitely pertained to your situation. I am so glad we were able to ease this stressful burden for you. The fact that you were named executor to this estate and not related to the deceased is a true testament to your good character. I will let my crew know the "A" rating you gave their hard work and I thank you once again."
"Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to rate/review my company. Even though your liquidation was of small/average size the types of collectibles that your mom & dad had accumulated over the years made for a profitable sale. My appraisers thoroughly enjoyed working with you and obtaining the provenance of the sale items. I truly pride my company on being a professional turnkey and estate liquidation company and will definitely pass on your "A" ratings to all those who were associated."
"Thank you very much for taking the time to give my company a wonderful review. It was a pleasure for myself and my crew to do your mom's estate sale. I am committed to being a professional estate and household liquidation specialist and strive to liquidate as much inventory as possible. Rest assured I will pass your kind review/rating off to all of those who were associated in doing your mom's sale. Best of luck to you in the upcoming year."
