These guys are great! Very punctual, polite, good prices and one of the few roofers who are willing to work on box gutters. They came exactly when they said they would. Quality work.

They called the same day, gave me an estimate the next day and had it done the day after. Looks great.

They were punctual and they were great. I cannot remember the exact price but they were the lowest of the three quotes I got. They showed up when they said they are going to show up, they cleaned outside which doesn't happen very often. They were very nice and explained what they were doing. I've recommended them a few times.

Original contract was signed in Sept. of 2012. However the weather went bad with almost daily heavy rain which delayed the work.
Mr. Baker's team came out and sealed up leaks to prevent further damage during the winter. In spring of 2013 we had more extremely wet weather causing further delays. Once the weather improved the hard work began. Work was going well when it had to stop again due to a series of very bad storms which caused heavy damage in this area. Mr. Baker called me and explained my roof was secure but he needed to delay to do emergency work to other properties. This was entirely understandable to me as I was okay and others had quite serious damage.
The main roof has three dormers which added to the workload. The old box gutters were bad and had to be replaced. There was wood damage that had to be replaced. The front and back porch roofs had shingles and box gutters replaced.
The work was completed in July 2013. The 113 year old house looks much happier now. The workmanship looks great to me and we have had no problems since. The crew was very good at cleaning up each day.
I would definitely hire Mr. Baker and his team again. Real good people.

JL Baker is a fair, reasonable, and honest roofing company that does quality work. There are a lot of bad roofing companies around town that overcharge and don't focus on quality, however JL Baker is the top of the line for me. I would highly recommend them if you are looking for a new roof or repairs.

They were punctual, professional, and did a quality job. The owner, Jeff Baker, is honest, fair, and a pleasure to deal with.

I don't remember how much they charged me. They are very easy to deal with but they were just a little bit sloppy up there. There are some outlets up on the roof that I run cables down into the gutters for the litter, and when they were putting that coat up on the roof, they left one of the outlets open. So water got in there and my husband had to replace the electrical outlet. Some of the cables were still up there and they got paint all over that. It was not anything disastrous but it was just little things that will make me think twice before I have them back. Their price was average. Their quality is good not considering the problem with the outlets. Their responsiveness and punctuality were very good. Their professionalism was good as well. I'm not sure if I will use their services again in the future or not.

I fell like I received a quality job in a timely fashion. No hard sell, no games. They came, they did the work and everything was smooth. No more leaks-no more damage.

I received an estimate from Baker in November 2010 and mailed in an authorization to proceed with the work, but never heard back from them. The weather had turned to snow and I assumed they would not complete the work in winter, although I did expect a return call. In spring 2011, I called again to leave a message that I wanted to schedule the work. They returned my call promptly and said they didn't receive/had no record of my authorization. When I faxed it, the work was completed promptly and the bill was in line with the estimate. I rate them with a "B" for quality only because the position of two of the spouts could have been done in a more aesthetically pleasing way (routed to note obscure a decorative front post of the porch), but functionality they are fine.

He is very good and I would recommend them. He did the roof about 12 years ago and if you call him he will come out the next day and will come immediately if there anything wrong and needs to be fixed. He does good work and he always shows up unlike most contractors.
