D J was the electrician who performed this GFCI Outlet replacement and he was top shelve. He was very knowledgeable of the work, kind, considerate and explained everything he was doing. He also took the time to check to see if ceiling fans could be installed into my home which is a manufactured home with very low ceilings. I will not hesitate to use Baby Bird Electric for all of my electrical needs.

We bought a house that still had knob and tube wiring. Interviewed several electricians (some had no interest in even giving us a price). BabyBird Electric did a preliminary non-invasive investigation to uncover the extent of knob and tube wiring before settling on a price. We also had BabyBird do a few electrical upgrades (adding receptacles, adding power for a disposal). Their work was neat and workmanlike, they cleaned up at the end of each day, and I felt like we got a fair price for their services. I am an EE who designs both commercial and residential electrical systems for construction and have lots of experience interacting with electrical contractors. The owner and employees of BabyBird were knowledgeable, personable, and represented their business well.

They were prompt and completed the job very quickly. They replaced two fuse boxes with breaker boxes. They also replaced the equipment outside of the house. They were very nice and professional. The finished spaces were clean and looked great. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

I hired BabyBird Electric for a rather large scope project that combined the remediation of some shady and illegal wiring by a prior owner of my property along with the installation of new low voltage runs to establish wired Ethernet connectivity and home theater surround sound. The initial consultation and sales pitch related to working late to get things done sounded good. Initial work progressed at a decent clip, when both Rick and Kris were here. Somewhere into Week 2, Rick just decided to stop showing up and left Kris with a monumental task to complete alone. Fast forward a month in and charges that went WAY over budget and quote, and the initial desire to have a service upgrade performed has resulted in me looking elsewhere. Most of the Ethernet cabling in the attic is simply zip tied to the support beams. No concealment nor protection from the elements. The under-cabinet lighting that was a safety hazard remains non-functional. On the day of the service upgrade, this outfit wasn't truly prepared. Three hours into the day is when they notified me that they couldn't get the barrel lock off of the meter and that "Duquense Light isn't coming out". Upon placing a call to the electric company and explaining the situation, the meter was unlocked. After jumping in to something that was improperly being managed by BabyBird Electric, Rick decided he wasn't going to perform the service upgrade because "he'd be here until 8 p.m.". This is after Kris was busting his butt to get things wrapped up past 9 p.m. earlier in the week. Many false promises were made, the work was never completed, I was repeatedly charged the rate for two electricians when I only had one, and I constantly had to fight with Rick and Stephanie in order to not be ripped off anymore than I had already been. Rick tearing down Kris within earshot of me was the final factor that resulted in me firing them before the job was finished. While the fixes that WERE completed were satisfactory, there's a serious lack of professionalism for the going rate for service. As previously stated, the work and attention to detail that Kris had executed upon was spectacular. He's a very hard worker! The overall project appeared to be beyond the planning capabilities of management. I've finished up a number of the loose ends on my own, and have engaged other organizations to do the work and collect money that BabyBird Electric apparently didn't want.

Baby Bird Electric replied quickly by e-mail to my request for service. I was impressed that they requested pictures of our electric panel and the laundry room and estimated distance from the panel to the dryer in order to give us an estimate for the work to be done. The company sent an electrician within the week to install an electric line from our panel to our laundry room for our electric dryer. They kept us informed as to the arrival time and stayed within the window they gave us. I'm not familiar with the prices for electricians, so I can't honestly comment on the cost of the service. I would use this company in the future and would recommend them to others.

The guys that installed my ceiling fan were friendly and efficient. After a scheduling error on their end, they even extended their day to make sure my fan still got installed as to not further inconvenience me. Would most certainly hire this team again.

Working with BabyBird Electric has been an all around great experience. Rick is very knowledgable and explains in detail the work that is going to be preformed. We bought an older home with electric wiring of just about every type back to knob and tube. The work was extensive and Rick has walked us through each step with consideration for safety, cost, and aesthetics. The work included install of a new upgraded service, and essentially a rewire of the entire home. With other renovations underway and the serious challenge of solid brick walls, Rick has creatively solved problems and greatly improved the quality of our home. If you appreciate excellent customer service, high quality work, and the the personal touch of a family run business you won't be disappointed with BabyBird. We highly recommend.
