A J BUERKLE PLUMBING HEATING & A/C CO

Excellent! I had my regular plumber of 5 years come out 3 days prior to snake the lines at a cost of $210; they backed up again 3 days later. So I called them to come back out, but they did not have time for me. In fact, they were rude and would later not back off of the $210 charge. So I called AJ Buerkle and man-oh-man was I pleased. Timely and excellent service! Customer service was very friendly and grateful, and Frank did a fantastic job, very thorough and professional. My plumber from here on is AJ Buerkle!

They said they didn't do that kind of project, but gave me excellent advice on how to do what I needed to do. Also recommended an excellent contractor for additional work I needed.

We got them because they are down the road from us. They have been fine. I guess the price would be average.

Called the morning after leak was discovered and they came right away. Told them I would replace the hot water heater regardless as it was 10 years old and due. They came right away. Determined that I also needed an expansion tank and a new pressure relief valve. Work was completed around lunch time. I've always used Buerkle since moving into this house and have always been satisfied with their work.

Jeff was wonderful to work with.  He explained everything he was doing and things that I should keep an eye on and things that might affect the efficiency of my system.  He left with me having a good feeling on the understanding of my system and things I need to be prepared for in the future.

We had been away for several weeks and when we got home and my husband turned the water on, water from the second floor bathroom poured into the first floor kitchen through the ceiling and into the bath through the ceiling and the fan vent.  It even ran down the walls into the basement. Fortunately, my husband could turn off the water to the second floor without disrupting the water to the rest of the house. This happened on a Sunday and we knew service charges would probably be higher than on a weekday. So we called Mr. Buerkle on Monday.  He came out to assess the damage and gave us an estimate of repair costs, explaining that he couldn't be specific until the ceiling was opened and he could see exactly what needed to be done. 

His plumber, Ron, arrived about 2 days later and completed the work in one very long day without a break (no pun intended).Ron

was careful to cover the floors and sink, etc. to avoid  material from the ceiling damaging anything and he also cleaned up and hauled away everything.  He also gave me some of the burst pipes to show the insurance adjuster. 

Because there had been water in the ceilings, we had to allow all of that to dry before having the ceilings closed up and Ron wanted to make sure there were no residual leaks.  There were no more leaks.

 

So a week or two later another person, I think Mr. Buerkle referred to him as a finisher, came to close up the ceiling and texture it to match the parts that hadn't been opened.  He was not an employee of Mr. Buerkle's, so he was paid separately.  The work he did was excellent. 

We were so pleased by Mr. Buerkle's quick response and the workmanship of his employees and subcontractors (if that's an accurate term)for this problem, that we hired him to replace the stationary tubs and drain in our laundry room and then tear out and remodel our basement bathroom.  Again, we're very satisfied with all of the work that was done.

Joined Angie's List specifically to find a reputable plumber in my area.  Researched who was available and called A J. Buerkle Plumbing & Heating based on customer reviews and Angie's List rating.  I called the contractor's office and spoke to Bonnie who was very professional and helpful.  She made an appointment for me for Oct. 27th and advised "Ron" would be out between Noon and 4, but would call before he came.    She also stated that Mr. Buerkle handled the gas fireplace and would call me to schedule an appointment.  Approximately 20 minutes later, Mr. Buerkle did call me and said he would be able to come on Oct. 27th also in    the afternoon and would call me before coming.

On Oct. 27th at approximately 12:30 Ron called and advised he was would be there in approximately 1/2 hour.  I appreciate that Bonnie told me the name of the repairman when I originally called.  Ron came and we went over everything I wanted done.  He actually advised me against something and explained the increased potential of the pipe freezing in the winter.  I really appreciated his honesty and experience.  He fixed the leaking water pipe, installed the garbage disposal and brought to my attention another problem under the sink.  I advised him to fix that also - there was absolutely no pressure from him to do the additional repairs, but I am appreciative  that he pointed it out to me to make the decision.

Mr. Buerkle called and came out and we went over everything regarding the gas to the fireplace.  I had previously talked to a plumber regarding this and was advised it would be an easy job.  Mr. Buerkle was very thorough and pointed out to me everything that would have to be done and why it needed to be done.  I am planning to using Mr. Buerkle to do this work and am glad that I did not go with the original plumber.  There is quite a bit more due to how my fireplaces are situated and other factors and I feel confident and more importantly safe that it will be done right.

I will definitely use A J Buerkle Plumbing & Heating again.  I was very impressed and grateful for the way everything was handled - from my original phone call to the office and Bonnie's handling of it - for Ron's expertise in repairing and advising me on the repairs - and Mr. Buerkle for his recommendations on the gas installation for the fireplace and the way that he runs his company. 

They were unresponsive and I had to make repeated calls to get answers to my questions.   They installed the heat pump it on 2/19 and then it wasn't working correctly a couple of months later.  They ordered a new motor and installed it. The service provider was supposed to get a new thermostat but never did.  I called him about the thermostat at the end of August and I still don't have it.

Installed the new energy efficient gas boiler. Dis a marvelous job with attention to detail.

All aspects of this activity were very positive except for the price being higher than the successful provider.

The guys were prompt, very polite, very experienced, and did a great job. We were extremely pleased.
