Miller Restoration

On July 9th at 9 pm, we arrived at our home to encounter 5 feet of water in our basement. Everything was damaged and lost. We contacted several restoration companies, and the only one available to respond was Miller Restoration. Within 1 hour, Justin arrived, assessed the damage, and offered reassurance that they would help us. He was courteous, empathic, and professional, which we needed amid our crisis. The company sent Phil and Mike, two competent, friendly, and hardworking individuals who diligently worked to remove the damaged property and discard, cut drywall, and dump the trash. The task was extensive, and it took several days for Phil, Mike, and Justin to clean up and dry out our basement. We communicated with the office regarding the assignment, and the admin staff and management were welcoming, supportive, and empathic to our concerns. The experience with Miller Restoration was extraordinary. My wife and I truly felt that they did not just want our business but also wanted to support us in our crisis. Thank you.

I called Miller Restoration after seeing that they were featured in the Montgomery County Best Picks Report for 2018. With other companies, when I mention I found them in Best Picks, they're thrilled and happy to help. However, the lady I spoke with on the phone at Miller Restoration told me that the owner will not do business with someone who found the company in the Best Picks Report. The reason she gave is that Best Picks did not ask for their permission to be featured in this years' booklet. I'm very confused by that statement because business is business. I do not work for Best Picks: I am a home owner with a possible mold problem and they turned me away because of where I found them. That is a rude and ridiculous way to manage a company and I'm appalled by the way I was treated on the phone.
