The design was great however, October 2010 brought a torrential rainstorm. We were awoken at 4:30 am to the hard wired smoke alarms going off because of the deluge that was happening to the downstairs completely finished living area that housed two of our children. The tarp and plywood had not kept the rain out and we spent the next two months dealing with drywall hanging down, no heat and soaking wet carpet that was not removed until a nasty e mail was sent. After his insurance quote came through he gave us an estimate to repair the damage that included a 10% profit for him!!! After two months, he finally repaired the damage at cost, but we lost money as the addition being repaired was less than three years old and we had to down grade on the carpet due to the insurance company depreciation. As the winter progress things went from bad to worse. The flooring for the kitchen did not arrive. We were told the mill went out of business then we were told the wood was sold out from under him....When the flooring arrived it was not the white oak we order but red oak. It arrived at 1:30 am. 
Clean up after work was non existent. The foreman smoked in the house!! Unused materials were not removed. We had to email to get trash cans filled with scrap and rain water removed. He put his trash out with ours. Used our ladders, shovels, rakes to remove rubble. Left ladder and tools out. The wet saw and saw horse were left for three months, stored on the porch which left a stain. Painting was done on the deck and left an outline. 
He disappeared for two months...Said he thought we were tired of seeing him, turns out his foreman quit. He was suppose to paint the house. He power washed it in August 2010 in August of 2011 still hadn't painted and wasn't planning on power washing again. We now need (June 2012) to have the kitchen floor re-finished due to wearing of the finish. Overall a terrible experience can't tell you to run away from this contractor fast enough.
