In the summer of 2007, Mr. Kunkle and affiliates were paid $22,300.00 to install the septic system and restore turf disturbed in the process. Payment was made in-full and immediately upon completion of the job. Two subsequent deficiencies of the workmanship began to appear over the ensuing 12?18 months. First, the soil back-filled after installation of the peat filter and the septic tank was not properly ?tamped? to prevent sinking; second, the property on the ?uphill? side of the drain field was not contoured properly to permit a swale to adequately drain rain-water run-off, resulting in puddling after rainfall which is a mosquito-breeding hazard in the summer and which also will eventually negatively impact the operation of the drain field. These deficiencies were brought to the attention of Mr. Kunkle. His response was such that, since the job was over a year old and since there was not any additional payment expected, he would not mobilize the necessary equipment and manpower to rectify the problems. Mr. Kunkle?s response is unprofessional. He is unreliable, suffers from a lack of integrity and is not a man of his word. I strongly discourage anyone from contracting with him or his affiliates.
