Once ordered, supplies were to take 4 to 6 weeks to come in. It took well over 2 months for them to come in and be delivered. I called two different times to check on the status. When all the supplies arrived, one door was missing and another one came in wrong. The label was correct on the outside of the box, but the door was wrong inside the box. Door had to be reordered, which took an additional three weeks. Again I had to call to check the status on delivery and found the door had been sitting in storage. When delivered and installed, it was covered in dust. The missing door had to be delivered the next day. We also realized when the doors and new jams were put in, the jams were not what we had ordered. We had requested composite door jams the whole way around, but instead got wood with the composite only 6 inches up from the bottom. I called to ask why and was told the salesman ?assumed? since we wanted to keep the costs down, we did not want the composite. That was one thing we absolutely wanted and stated to two salesmen several times we did not want to have to do ANY painting over the years and not have to worry about our frames rotting out. The patio door that was ordered, came in too tall. Top doorframe had to be cut out to get door in. We had also requested grilles and a screen for the patio door. We had initally requested blinds and grilles, but due to pricing, I stated we would eliminate the blind, but definitely wanted the grilles and screen. The door came in with neither of those. I called to ask why the grilles and screen were not ordered. Salesman stated they must have "forgot" to put them on the order form. If I wanted to have them put on, I could either order grilles that fit on the outside of the glass, or order a whole new patio door! The windows for the backside of our house were also to be ordered with grilles in the top half of each window, five in total . When ordering, I explained I would do without the grilles to keep the cost down. Salesmen explained the grilles were only an average of $15 a piece so if I wanted them, the price would be minimal. I said okay, have them put on. After installation I called to ask why I had no grilles in the windows, the salesman stated again he must have ?forgot? to put them on the order slip. However, if I still wanted the grilles, they would be glad to order me new top windows, as they need to be installed at the factory. Certified did nothing to help rectify all their mistakes, nor did they even attempt to help. Their solution was to simply reorder new items. One of the three owners of the store waited on us on two occasions. He did not wish to speak to me, but preferred to speak to my husband. He came off as being very haughty and arrogant. That should have been a clue to look elsewhere for supplies. Certified was recommended to us by our contractor. He stated he had not had any problems with them in the past. However, other individuals told us they do not deal with the one owner as he is not very friendly or polite. I absolutely will never set foot in the store again, nor give them any additional business in the future.
Description of Work: We had major renovations done to our house. We had all new siding put on, had all new windows put in, purchased three new doors, and had a new porch built.
