ZIMMERMAN ROOFING

It went very well. They were very good. They were punctual and cleaned up after themselves. I thought they did the work for a fair price.

Not a success story. After the estimate, during which we showed the representative the areas where the leaks were occurring, we contracted to have Zimmerman Roofing come to the house to do the repairs. They came on time, did some work, and we paid them $580. After the first rain, several areas still leaked. We requested they come out to fix what they said they would fix the first time. They patched up an area but charged us an additional $180. We paid the additional amount even though we thought the charge was unfair. Unfortunately, all the leaks have come back in exactly the areas we had asked the company to repair the first time around. We are now seeking a roofing company that will be able to do what Zimmerman was unable to do correctly - fix the roof.

Everything always went very well. I have never had any complaints and have also referred them to other friends. Mr. Zimmerman has always been very timely and responsive.

They did tell me something about the chimney when they did the roof for me, but I never got that done. So I called them and they came out to inspect it. This evidently was dependent on another type of service and so that was the end of it. However, the roofer was very prompt in showing up and inspecting the situation when I called him. The new roof that they had installed is responsible for 10 years and this was beyond that period. They were very good. The job turned out well. I was pleased with them because I was really concerned about how soon they could come, but they were very prompt. I have no idea of what I should have paid or what was the price for installing a new roof. So I wouldn’t be able to comment on their price. It’s pretty hard to comment on the quality too because nothing happened for 10 years. Their responsiveness was good. Their punctuality was excellent and they were professional too. I recommend them and I would call them again.

I really trust him. I feel like he is very upfront and fair. He doesn't need to cheat his customers because he's a good guy and does good work. I would recommend him to all of my friends and family.

We needed a coating on our flat roof to meet our insurance company's requirements. Mr. Zimmerman called back promptly, did an estimate the next day and the work within the week. He did not try to talk us into more work than we asked for or needed (the roof had recently been inspected).

VERY FAIR PRICE, WORK WAS DONE QUICKLY ONCE STARTED, LOOKS GOOD AND APPEARS TO BE HOLDING UP WELL. THOROUGH CLEAN-UP JOB. MR. ZIMMERMAN VERY POLITE AND PLEASANT. VERY RESPONSIVE TO PHONE CALLS, DID ESTIMATE PROMPTLY. MY ONE CRITICISM IS THAT I WOULD HAVE LIKED A PHONE CALL LETTING ME KNOW WHEN THEY WERE COMING TO DO THE WORK. I WAS SURPRISED THE DAY THEY SHOWED UP AND I NEEDED TO MAKE QUICK ARRANGEMENTS TO SPEND THE DAY OUT OF THE HOUSE WITH MY NEWBORN B/C ROOFING WORK IS LOUD.

WE HAVE USED TOM ZIMMERMAN FOR YEARS. HE IS AN INTELLIGENT, CAREFUL, RELIABLE, HONEST, POLITE, WELL-SPOKEN AND EXTREMELY COMPETENT ROOFER. HE PRIDES HIMSELF ON HIS CRAFTSMAN-LIKE SKILL. HE WILL NOT TELL YOU A ROOF NEEDS DOING UNLESS IT DOES. (NOTE ON THE ABOVE WORK, HE COULD HAVE TOLD US ALL THREE ROOFS NEEDED DOING, BUT HE DIDN'T THINK THE THIRD ONE DID, AND HE TOLD US SO) HE WILL ALWAYS DISCUSS WITH YOU EXACTLY WHAT THE OPTIONS ARE. WHAT HE THINKS IS THE BEST SOLUTION AND THE MATERIALS FOR THE JOB. HE IS MORE EXPENSIVE THAN OTHER ROOFERS, AND HE MAKES NO BONES ABOUT IT. HE KNOWS HE IS WORTH IT. HE IS.
