this complaint is related to the Verizon Wireless, Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, Delaware store.
I had a water accident down the beach. I am on crutches. My Verizon wireless phone got wet. It stopped functioning. When I got home, I had to find someone to take me to Verizon to get a phone immediately so I can make arrangements to go to the doctor and continue to run my business. When my neighbor took me to Verizon, we were so surprised that the answer to our problem from Scott Manager and a tech was to go somewhere else and buy a phone. Excuse me???????????????????????????????????????????? The Prepaid part of the system had been down for upgrades (supposedly) since Friday daytime. This is Sunday afternoon. They told us to go to Walmart and get a phone. The tech told us that all we had to do was buy the phone, call CS, and get the phone activated. Right!!!!! I brought the Walmart phone home and followed the directions to get the phone activated. and quot;Since the and quot;ENTIREand quot; Prepaid System is down, there is NO activation of ANY phone of ANY kind. I was then told to dial *228 later today to get ahold of CS because the system should be up and running. Right!!!!! We ALL know that no one will be there after 5 PM.
I have not been able to call doctors' office and leave messages, get rides organized, or run my business. What kind of business runs like this??? The nerve of them to tell a client to go somewhere else to get service.
I believe they should compensate me for the headache and frustration they have caused and my having to go in and out of Verizon store and Walmart on crutches without any resolution to my problem.
I consider myself in a medical emergency situation needing help to make a doctor appointment and find rides to get there and also to get to an MRI facility. I also cannot send or receive calls from my clients to run my business.
I have no idea what time Verizon will decide to report to work tomorrow, Monday. They should take responsibility for their actions. Lousy customer service. The techs have no idea what works and what does not work as far as their system. Nice training!!
What technical brain decided to allow this? Dahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If there was a lower rating than an F, I believe Verizon would wear it well.

I had a neighbor take me to ATand T where I purchased a new phone and can now call the doctors, etc.
There is still a reimbursement issue that is going on with Verizon. I will report back with more information.
