Todaro's Locksmith

Called Nick and explained our problem.  He said it might be something I could do myself, so gave me instructions.  After trying I was unable to fix the deadbolt.  He said he'd be out within the hour. 
In addition, he was very patient with our dog.  I had barricaded on the upper floors of our house so she wouldn't bother him nor try to run outside while he had the front door open.  She barked the entire time, but Nick didn't seem phased.

went to his shop to replace a broken gate lock - he had the lock i needed, retrofitted it to fit my gate, and made keys - this person really knows his locks and what he is doing; well priced, pleasant, and helpful answering questions

It was a good experience and I would use Todaro's again and recommend them to my friends and neighbors.

I called at 8:30, and asked Nick if we could meet in the afternoon around 1 p.m. He called shortly before that, and was here at 1. He looked at the door, saw that the lock was not striking correctly, and used a grinder on what I guess you call the door jam.
He checked to make sure everything was working and was on his way.
He's prompt, thorough and professional.
I highly recommend him.

Calm, professional, prompt response and arrival. He was very kind and helped us out in a time of stress. We needed our front door lock changed with new keys after having our keys stolen.

When I called and explained my situation to Todaro, he took the time to listen even though he no longer services my area and would not make an money. His over the phone suggestion was right on point and so easy to do (a bit of WD-40 goes a long way), and I am truly appreciative that he was the one I chose to call.

I could not open my front door. Nick came out on a Sunday and within 15 minutes had it working again. He offered to come out again if we had any problems and a few weeks later I did have the problem reoccur. I called, he came out again( this time Memorial Day weekend) and tried something different - and now it works like a charm. This man is very knowledgeable and trustworthy - I would definitely recommend him.

Answered my call right away. Asked many detailed questions so he could order the part in advance (site unseen). Arrived on time for installation. Called when job was completed (since I wasn't home).

We bought a new house and needed to change the locks. Todaro's Lock Shop was one of the closest companies to our new place and had great reviews on Angie's List, so it was a natural choice. Mr. Todaro worked very quickly and efficiently and even ground out some of the poorly-installed original strike equipment on some of the doors to make them operate very smoothly. The entire process only took about an hour for five locks on three doors.

I wasn't even able to get a key into the lock for the rooftop deck before he arrived; he could easily have sold me a new deadbolt, but fixed it instead (with advice to think about getting a new one in the future because it was a pretty cheaply-made Kwikset knockoff).

Mr. Todaro was also very conversational and shared a lot of useful advice on locks in general.

I'll certainly be calling on him again when we're ready to upgrade to nicer locks or if we have problems with the current ones!

My realtor and sales prospects were having trouble with the lock on a house I have listed for sale. Todaro came out and fixed it the next morning as promised - when I wasn't even at the property.

After another company cross-threaded the fine-thread screws in a custom-finished deadbolt, they were able to remove the stripped-out screws without damaging the lock at all, and to provide shims that would allow a proper installation in the door. They charged a very reasonable amount for saving us a tremendous amount of time and trouble - we'll definitely be using them again!

He came when he said he was coming. He did the work. He charged me less than his usual minimum as the job was so easy.

Overall, very well. The bottom lock is a little loose in its cylinder, but it's in an old door, so it may not be avoidable. I was very pleased with the service and would use him again.

Nick called Friday morning when he was on his way and arrived shortly after. Worked quickly. Was efficient, organized and informative. Repaired both locks and replaced a cylinder. Even tightened the hinges on the door. Also checked and oiled the lock on my front door and gave advice regarding keys. Was a good experience over all and, if needed, I would definitely use this company again.
