Stoneside Blinds & Shades-Philadelphia

Initial contact with Brad (designer) was smooth and I got all of the answers I needed for initial planning.  I had Brad come out a second time to go over fabrics with my wife and place the order.  I know it was going to be expensive and Brad was helpful in providing a bit of a discount ff of the initial price.
Things started to go poorly while trying to get the installers to do the required second measurement.  Quite a bit of phone tag and some frustration with time between callbacks.  I would leave a message with available times and then i would get a call back after those times had passed with a new request.  I finally called Stoneside and they told me that the fabric was in and we were ready to go as soon as they had the measurement.  Brad helped get the installer out here and i thought we were good.
 I checked my order online and ended up using the chat feature on the web site. On the first try, the person couldn't find my order. I tried a few days later and was informed that the material was back ordered and would be coming in the end of January (initial order placed the end of November).  This was frustrating and I asked to be contacted by management. because i was now considering canceling the order.  I gave it a week and didn't hear back from anyone.  In the interim, I heard back from Brad who was willing to cancel if i wanted, but i decided to stick with it.
I eventually called back in to Stoneside to check on my order and got the manufacturing date.  I told the rep that I needed to schedule an install date ahead of the shipping because i was coming up on a vacation and quite a bit of travel for work.  She gave me the expected response of not being able to schedule until they shipped.  After expressing my frustration she agreed to contact the installer and expedite the shipping so she could schedule the date.  I gave her the date i needed and she said she would call me back the next day.  As expected, she did not.  
End result is that I didn't get a call with an install date until after the installer had the blinds and we had to do a week after my proposed date.  The overall process took over 2 months and was really frustrating.  The install went fairly smoothly and the blinds look good although 2 of the 5 motors are quite loud.
While I enjoyed working with Brad, I would not go back to Stoneside based on the communication issues, as well as the lack of responsiveness from the management team.

) We just moved into a new house with nothing on the windows.  Our neighbors used Stoneside and were very happy to we decided to give them a try.  We schedule an appointment in our home and met with the designer the next day.  We thought we new what we wanted because we had wood blinds in our last home.  After walking through the house and talking about what we really wanted to accomplish, the design suggested roller shades in our dinning room and kitchen and motorized transition shades in our great room.  We had never seen these before and they are really cool.  We agreed on cellular shades in the bedroom because we can lower them to let the light in and still maintain privacy.  Everything was install this week and looks great!

We contact four different companies to get bids on new window treatments for our family room, breakfast room and dining room.  One of the companies didn't even show up.  We met with Stoneside and the other two companies.  We were impressed with Stoneside from our initial meeting.  The designer arrive a few minutes early and didn't try to sell us. Instead, he asked great questions and help us understand what we really needed.  For example, he asked if we had pets or kids and we have both.  The other two companies didn't even ask.  He explained the different cordless and motorized options that were available that would work best with kids and our dog running around the house.  We select Stoneside and the shades were installed ahead of schedule.  We are very happy and have already referred a neighbor.

We started out working with another company and became very frustrated.  A friend suggested Stoneside so I gave them a call.  As soon as I talked to them I felt better.  The person on the phone seemed to actually care about why I called and asked me some great questions to make sure they had what we were looking for.  The sales person showed up right on time which is way better than the competition.  After spending just a half an hour I knew we had made the right decision to call Stoneside.  They were much more professional.  We purchase blinds for the study, cellular shades for two bedrooms and roller blinds for the breakfast room.  
lA few weeks later they called to scheduled the installation.  The installer arrived about 10 minutes late but, again, this is much better than the 2 hour window that most people give.  A couple of hours later everything was installed.  There was a small problem with one blinds but after working on it a few minutes everything was great.  Thanks Stoneside, you really do deliver a great experience.

Stoneside was referred to us by a friend who was very happy with their service.
I called Stoneside and set up an appointment with Jackie, one of their design consultants.  Jackie called to confirm the appointment and showed up right on time the next day.
Jackie did s a great job helping me understand all of the different possibilities and select the best products and fabrics for each each. We order top down bottom up cellular shades for two bedrooms and motorized solar shades for the family room.
Stoneside's installer came out the next day to verify the measurements and finalize the order.  Then, in about 3 weeks he called again to schedule the install.  The everything was installed in a few days.  We had one small problem with one of the motorized shades when it was first installed.  The installer called their manufacturing facility, made an adjustment and then everything worked great.
We are very happy with our new window coverings and had a great experience.

We contacted three different window covering companies after we bought our new house. Our new home had window coverings but it looked like they had been there for 20 years.  The design consultant from Stoneside was by far the most knowledgeable.  He asked great questions and helped us understand what we really needed in our home.  We purchased solar shades for the living room and family room, wood blinds for the guest bedroom and office and cellular shades for our master bedroom.  The shades were installed ahead of schedule and everything looks great.  Thanks Stoneside for a great job.
