Solar States

They are an exceptional company and a pleasure to work with. They pitched the need for solar power and then installed and commissioned the system with great efficiency. Their service after the commissioning continues to be first-rate. Very highly recommended.

Contract was signed on the 6th of January, installation took two days (2/22 and 2/25), inspection was done on 3/22 and PECO installed the meters on 3/24. Through this timeline Solar States kept me informed and educated about my solar array and its benefits. For instance, the sales associate sent me a picture of my roof showing how many panels it could hold and we discussed at length which panels would be used and how they would be placed. After that we talked about placement of meters and the inverter. The sales associate was very knowledgeable and patient, there was never a problem with him stopping by or responding to any question I had, although there were a couple of minor glitches.
On the first day of installation there was a disagreement between the installer and me as to placement of the inverter, I wanted it inside, he suggested it be placed outside. After a short debate it was decided to place the inverter outside. In my particular case, it was difficult to place the inverter inside where I wanted. Also, after the installation was done I discovered a couple of cinder blocks were missing that held down a group of panels. Called Solar States and they sent a couple of people right out to with the extra blocks, no problem. Just an oversight.
My overall experience with Solar States was very positive. They stuck to their timeline, kept me informed, took care of any concerns, and charged a reasonable price.
I would use them again if the opportunity arose.

The Solar States team did a great job. They walked us through the planning and permitting process and made it all very easy for us. Their work was fast and efficient. They were straightforward and professional throughout the process. These guys are some of the best contractors I've had the pleasure to work with. I've already recommended them to everyone I know. We've been living with our solar panels for a few months now and are so happy with the results. Our solar panels are producing nicely and we can see a huge difference in our bills. This is the best investment I've made in my home. I really cannot recommend Solar States highly enough. 
I also really like that Solar States has made a commitment to their community as well. Some of the guys on the install team had come through a program run by Solar States in their high school.
