Steven was very responsive via phone, email and text, and the price was very reasonable for the scope of the job. Once we scheduled, it was done quickly and professionally, with the least amount of disruption possible. I appreciate the whole crew's efforts to make everything go smoothly, and I'd hire them again. The sidewalk and driveway aprons look great.

Needed a small excavation done to coordinate with other contracted

professional.

Steven made the entire process easy and completed the job in just 2 days. He had a team working the night before to take out all the old concrete and when we arrived the next day around 12:30 the new concrete was already poured and they were doing the finishing touches to make it smooth and the detail they used around the edges and along the lines complete the professional look. Would highly recommend to anyone and if I need to do anything in the fruits will contact SJL again without hesitation.

My steps had been becoming increasingly loose as the severe winter wore on. I knew I'd need to get my stoop worked on but didn't think it needed to be so soon. Just yesterday I noticed a delivery man almost stumbled going down my steps because one of them was so wobbly. I went down the steps and lifted off a whole slab. It was hollow underneath. I called SJL in the evening and he promised to be here at 7:30 before I left in the morning. He was true to his word and arrived at 7:20. He gave me a price, told me he could do it later in the day, and that it'd be done before I came home. Again he was true to his word, and I was pleased to have my stoop completely repaired within 24 hours of my initial call. Time will tell how it holds up, but I was pleased that he was prompt, courteous, and did the job he said he would do. All in all, I'm a happy customer.

We called several concrete sidewalk cement contractors to get bids on our fairly large Center City sidewalk replacement project. Steve Leuzzi Sr. took the initial call and went right to my property to provide a quote. He emailed a copy of the quote later in the even so that we had a written copy. After receiving two other bids, SJL Cement was the lowest. My husband called to let SJL that we would be going with their services and to get on the schedule. Within a weeks time, Steve Leuzzi Jr. called me to confirm that work was going to begin on a Monday and made sure that the timing worked for us - yay, it did!
SJL's team showed up early on Monday and demolished the entire sidewalk (Note: we are a large corner property so there was a lot to this project). On Tuesday morning, the SJL team showed up again on time and by early afternoon the entire project was complete and looking great! SJL Cement, in my opinion, is reliable and does great quick work. The work we had done is on a rental property and time is always of the essence when we are doing work on our rentals so the fact that this did not turn into a long project was extremely helpful - and, they were a fun crew to boot! They are a family business that has been doing this for a LONG time and they evidently have it perfected. They will definitely be on my speed dial for the next property.

They arrived on time and completed the job correctly. My only concern was that they did not come back on the allocated date to remove the signs, protection tape, and wooden planks. Apparently, their personal schedule was overbooked, and they ended up coming on a Sunday to remove the items while I was at church. A few wooden pieces are still in my concrete, however, i need to call them to see if they were left there on purpose to provide structure to a future brick inlay, or was it by mistake. Steve and his team were nice, easy to talk to,and easy to work with regarding price.

My wife contacted Steve and he came out to give us a quote for the job the next evening. Steve was in constant contact with us and informed us the when the job would be postponed due to weather. Steve was always available via text, phone or email and always responded to any questions/concerns we had in a timely manner. Steve made the entire process smooth and worry free. He did great work and I received many compliments from neighbors and friends. My wife and I couldn't be happier with the job Steve did.
Steve and his team are absolute professionals and I totally recommend him for any concrete/masonry job!!

From the time I called to the time the job was completed was six business days. I had an estimate within a day of calling. Once I agreed, they were out to do the work within three business days.

The workers were on time, and worked fast. The job was started by 9 a.m., and completed by 1 p.m.

The finishing work was excellent.

My only complaint is that they left cement smeared over the cap on the cleanout, and told me to clean it off myself once the concrete had set.

Steven J. Leuzzi is the self proclaimed “King of Sidewalks” and “King of Cement”. He has definitely earned these titles. I have used him numerous times over the years to replace sidewalks, repoint brick, replace lintels and install star bolts at my primary residence and rental properties. He has a great understanding row home construction and does beautiful stamped concrete work at reasonable price. Most recently, Steven replaced the sidewalks and curbs at one of my triplexes. The work was done on time, looked great and was performed in a professional manner. Even my tenants were pleased and it’s not often I hear complements from them. They commented that his team was very polite and did a great job providing temporary access to the building while the existing sidewalks were demolished and the new concrete was drying. Also, they thought the finished product looked great! In addition, I was very happy the work was performed as scheduled, because it required coordination with the tenants. It saves a lot of time not having to notify the tenants the work will be performed at different time or field call about when is the work actually going to be completed. Steven performed the work over 2 days. The demolition was performed on the first day. All the debris was removed, the sidewalk was taped off, saw horses were placed at each end of the sidewalk and boards were laid down for the tenants to access the property. The sidewalks and curbs were poured on the second day. Blankets and boards were laid down, so the tenants could access the property over the drying concrete. The sidewalk was taped off and saw horses placed at each end again. No debris was left on the street or adjoining sidewalk. Everything was left broom swept. He returned one week later to remove the wood forms, which typically never happens.
