"[Member Name Removed], it truly was a pleasure to market your historic home! It sure was fun researching 130 years of history, and it certainly helped that you maintained & upgraded the property to such exceptional standards!"
"Thank you so much for the kind words! Your house was almost one of my records with 9 offers!!! Your home was so wonderfully decorated & maintained, it certainly made my job so much easier, but the market agreed, and so many people wanted to be the next stewards of your house."
"Your home buying experience was one for my record books!!! I doubt it will be any time soon when I have to compete against 15 other buyers to secure my clients their dream home! It certainly helped that you were willing to get creative to win the bidding, and ended up in your dream home!"
"It was a pleasure working with the two of you. Although I "made" you be a homeless couple for the past 6 months, that really put you in the best possible position to jump on new listings, and ultimately beat out other competitors when purchasing your new home. I wish you all the best in your new home, and look forward to working with you again when we list your Mother's house in the Spring!"
He did a great job representing us during all phases of the purchase: negotiations, inspections, financing, and closing. His knowledge of the profession put us at ease; we knew that he was looking out for us, always pointing out important issues with a property and finding comparable homes in the area. When we wanted to offer a certain price, he suggested coming in lower and that lower price was accepted. Scott is the epitome of a buyer's agent. It was obvious that he has been working in this field for awhile, as his support network is excellent and very professional, especially the people used during the home inspections. We were extremely satisfied with that service.
Scott was a pleasure to work with and we truly enjoyed our time with him. He helped us find a wonderful old home in Chester County and we couldn't be happier.
"[Removed member name], it truly was a pleasure to help you two find the perfect historic property!!! We certainly did put alot of miles on the car during our excursions, from Berks to Bucks to Chester Counties. So glad that you ended up with a very unique home in a great location for both of you. Welcome to Philadelphia, and I can't wait to see what you do with the gardens!"
With that said, I cannot sing enough praise about this man? Scott guided and protected my wife & I through the entire selling process of our home in Melrose Park. From listing, inspections, appraisal, to quick sale & settlement with exceptional service.
You can tell it?s not about a payday with Scott. I believe he genuinely cares for his clients, loves what he does & works EXTREMELY hard to ensure the best possible outcome.
Truly one of a kind? The most knowledgeable, protective, and ethical realtor I have ever come across.
Look at his various listings compared to others & you?ll notice his attention to detail, the professional level photographs he obtains while staging every shot with meticulous perfection. While others provide basic low quality images that appear to be taken with cell phones & blurbs on photocopied handouts, Scott provided VERY high quality, professionaly printed brochures, printed onto high end card stock, & they look AMAZING.
The only negatives are, the brochures are so nice, folks will take multiple copies when they visit your home. Scott also makes sure his listings are front & center above others with each of the major online search engines; So his listings are seen before others.
Bottom line is, I HIGHLY recommend Scott to anyone wanting the best realtor, representation & service you can find. You will NOT be disappointed..
"It truly was a pleasure to serve you and your wife, and your OCD as you call it was not as bad as you think!!! You certainly had some of the most unusual showing issues of any of my listings, but ultimately, we found fabulous Buyers (despite their agent!) that love the house & neighborhood! May you enjoy your new life in Bucks County!!!"
Scott is incredibly personable and is available 24/7 to help his clients!
"It truly was a pleasure to help you two find your first house! Welcome to the neighborhood, and do not ever hesitate to call if you need help finding great, local contractors as you begin the process of updating the home for your needs."
"It truly was a pleasure to serve you Shelly. I wish you all the happiness in your new urban life!"
Scott was the first person I found on "The List" and, based on this experience, I'll be coming back time and again.
"It was a pleasure to work with you too!!! You're requirements were not my most unusual ones, but the ERUV did limit your geography! So glad that you, the dog and the 4 cats will be calling my neighborhood home!!! As always, never hesitate to call me if you need further referrals as you get settled into your new home."
"Thanks so much! So glad that both of your transactions went relatively smoothly, garnering more for your house we sold than it was listed, and finding you a wonderful & peaceful sanctuary on 4 acres for your new, forever home!"
agree with all of the positive comments made about him. We have worked with a
fair number of realtors over the years and Scott is by far the best.
We first worked with Scott several years ago when we
purchased a 200-year old house in Chestnut Hill. During that process we were
particularly impressed with Scott?s ability to spot potential problems that we
would otherwise have missed. In the case of at least one house, the issues he
pointed out were a major factor in our decision not to make an offer on a house
that, in retrospect, was clearly the wrong house for us. And, in the case of
the house we bought, it enabled us to purchase the house with a clearer picture
of the issues one faces with an older house.
Recently we have worked with Scott to purchase a Center City
condo. He seemed just as knowledgeable
in that area as well and helped us quickly narrow our choices in that market.
With both purchases, he carefully followed up with the many parties
involved (inspector, other agent, mortgage broker, insurance agent) to ensure
that all details were in order prior to closing. As a result, in both sales,
there were no problems and no surprises.
We would definitely recommend Scott.
"It was a pleasure (on both occasions) to work with the two of you! Your first purchase in Chestnut Hill was the oldest home I've ever sold, and your Condo in Philadelphia was my first foray into Rittenhouse Square! I know you'll love your new center-city life. Thank you again for placing your trust in me to assist you with your purchases!"
"Thank you so much! It was great to help you and your family relocate here from North Carolina. You've found a great community in Elkins Park, and I can't wait to see the house when the painting and floors are done!"
"Thanks once again for your kind words!"
"Welcome to Philadelphia!!! It was a pleasure working with you, helping your relocation from Long Island go as smoothly as possible. I know you didn't "think" about looking at a ranch house, but so glad that you're in love with your new home that allows you to age in place in a really cool property! I know you'll have lots of great memories with the kids & grand kids. Let me know when you're ready to take on that kitchen remodel, I have lots of ideas to make it really great! Welcome home!!!"
"Your house is one of my favorites!!! So glad that your relocation from Miami to Philadelphia found you in the perfect neighborhood!!! I know that you're enjoying your morning walks with the dog, the easy commute to work and all of the neighbors that you've already befriended! Looking forward to many dinner party invitations, and maybe even a dip in your new pool before the weather starts turning."
"Thank you so much!!! You two did take me all over the region, from Bucks County to Delaware County, but in the end, your dream home was right where we started!!! So glad that you have found such a great community after moving from Seattle, and thanks as well for the referral of one of your colleagues, they go to settlement on Monday!"
We are so happy with our recent purchase that we hope never to personally need Scott's services, however we fully intend to keep him as a friend and resource.
"It really was a pleasure to work with you (once again!!!). That's what happens when you have more children, I get busy because you need a bigger house!!! So glad that everything worked out so well for both of you (and the kids), with the lease-back from your Buyers to snagging that new listing the first day it came on the market! I know that you're now in your forever home, in a fantastic neighborhood. Hopefully, we won't be talking business for 20+ years now. Instead, I look forward to sharing an Irish Ale on your back patio when you get settled in!!!"
Scott is also an experienced professional at marketing your home to sell. He took gorgeous photos of our home and marketed it expertly through both traditional and social channels. Our house sold in three days!
His commitment to his clients goes beyond the sale and purchase experiences. Scott has helped us connect with contractors and make home improvement decisions through the years. He is also a pretty fun guy to hang out with!
I sincerely hope I don't have to hire him again - we found our "forever" home - but if I did need a realtor, I would hire Scott.
"Thank you so much! Three sales out of you in 5 years isn't so bad, and it's OK that we finally found your forever home, I'll be happy to help all your family & friends now!!! I know that once you get all the renovations completed and get settled into your new home, that all 5 of you are going to LOVE the neighborhood & the house. Memories, that's what we sell and I know your home will be FILLED with them for many, many years to come! Looking forward to the house party!"
Our home is 114 years old, and Scott researched the original owner! He writes beautifully and put together a stunning brochure of our home, including spectacular photographs he took himself (obviously he's an expert photographer!).
In a not so good market, our 6000 sq ft home sold quickly, to buyers we absolutely love! There were no glitches, hiccups or issues. If we faced a hump in the road, Scott was there to smooth it over and work things out. Actually, my husband and I were in NY traveling when the offer we accepted came in, and Scott was able to conduct all necessary business over the phone and/or internet!
My husband and I have now moved to San Diego, but plan to buy another property in the Philadelphia area in the next couple of years. We would absolutely, without a doubt, use Scott Laughlin as our realtor.
"Your home was one of the most interesting & unique properties that I have had the honor to market!!! I wish you all the best in San Diego, and look forward to your eventual return to Philadelphia in a few years! Thank you again for placing your trust in me to sell your home."
Since then Scott has stayed in contact via emails and holiday cards and after five years Scott recently visited my home to help me consider the pros and cons of some remodeling I'm considering, plus offering up several great ideas I hadn't thought of as well as providing me with yet another contact?.the architect I'll need to lay out the changes I'm looking for.
All in all Scott is one of the most knowledgable realtors I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. If I ever decide to make another move my first call will be to Scott. If you are looking for expertise without a lot of realtor BS, Scott is your man.
"Thanks so much! I'm just so pleased that you are happy where you "landed" and that the house has worked out so well for your needs. It was alot of fun talking about all the improvements you plan to make, and I cannot wait to see the outcome of the new master suite & kitchen!"
"[member name removed], thank you so much for the kind words! But you don't have to tell everyone that I said you over-paid for your house!!! :-) Seriously, it was the perfect house in the perfect neighborhood that no-one even knew was available for sale, and I know you and the family are loving your new life in your new home. In hindsight, with the way the market has been growing, you actually bought quite well, as today, that house would likely have brought multiple offers if it was ever put on the public market. Thank you again, and I look forward to helping you and [member name removed] with your friends & family in the future."
"Dear [member name removed], Your parent's house is still one of the most favorite properties that I have ever had the honor & privilege to market! The [member information removed] is a truly remarkable home, and I know the next Stewards are going to love & cherish it just as much as your parents did during their 50+ years of ownership. Thank you again for your business."
Scott has an uncanny knack of seeing what is right and not right about a home. He has a great eye for damage and for the finer points of a house. He also has an incredible memory. I'd try to remember something about a home I saw and Scott could describe it perfectly. He also has a great ability to see potential in a home. He gave us ideas we never would have thought about.
We were relocating three children. When they were with us, Scott answered all of their questions and he worked with the kids as patiently as he worked with us. They had their own set of concerns and Scott was great with the kids.
One of the attributes we like most about Scott is his straightforwardness. He didn't try to convince us of anything, he guided us in a journey. He wasn't a hard sell salesman. He would add "surprise" houses to show us and they helped us solidify what we liked. If Scott represented a house we wanted to see, he disclosed this information and was very professional. Scott was professional every step of the way.
During negotiations, Scott asked the hard questions and was truly our advocate. We knew we could trust him. During closing he made sure we understood the proceedings and what we were signing.
We now live in a house that has all of the wonderful aspects that we were looking for in a home. It is comfortable and our family truly enjoys the house and the setting. We are geographically where we wanted to live.
We stay in touch with Scott and call him with questions and for recommendations in the area. We had a great home-buying experience.
"It was certainly a pleasure to work with you and your family last year (2012) and guiding you to the most appropriate location & house for your needs. As my "record holder" of quantity of houses seen (53 houses toured!), we certainly did get to know each other very well. Being that you were coming into the area from out of state & having some very specific requirements, it was a challenge, yet alot of fun along the way as well. A great part of my personal & professional satisfaction is when we find "the ONE" house that speaks to you and where you want to create your future memories! It was an honor & a privilege to be your agent, and an even greater honor to have become a family friend after the fact."
"I just became a member of Angie's List in 2013, and discovered this rather inappropriate review. Unfortunately, as it is three years old, I do not know the origin nor the person, as the name of the reviewer has never made an offer on any of my listings that I can recall. I take great pride in my professionalism, and anyone is welcome to review my many client testimonials on my website."
