DO NOT USE, the WORST! I am not one to write reviews. I hired these contractors for bathroom work. They were very unprofessional. They bad mouthed all of the women clients they had. They were very nasty, because I wanted to switch some things in my bathroom and they were very upset by this because they had to put marble down, which they had trouble doing. They did not use the correct grout I found out. The son, David was nasty as can be and extremely unprofessional, he did not know how to do anything. They threw my door out which had new knobs on it, never came back like they said they would to put the knob back on. The son asked how much everything was in my apartment. He was very angry because I did not use Avalon Flooring for my vanity, they might get a cut from that. They put a new door on, because they threw the old one out and the new one they put on is not on correctly. The shower is too narrow, they messed that up big time. I should have used my old contractor; in fact, I am having him come back to fix the mess they created!

They are absolutely wonderful! They are always on time and work very hard. They are a family run business are great contactors. They rewired everything that was installed incorrectly from a previous contractor. They are very conscientious and professional.
Description of Work: They just finished repairing my basement. They repaired the ceramic tile, electrical, tore down and reinstalled walls, completed lighting and much more.

He was absolutely horrendous. I hired him to remodel our second floor bathroom. It was him and his two sons that were working for him. He was so rude & abusive to his sons, calling them rude & obscene names. I picked all high-end materials. I ordered the tiles according to how much he told me to get, but I ended up having boxes and boxes of tiles leftover, which I wasn’t able to return. The toilet that he installed kept leaking from underneath, so I had to call another plumber to fix this. The leak occured because the entire floor was crooked. His tiling was terrible. In the shower, he cut the tiles in such a weird way that it doesn’t look right, and some of them stick out from the top of the floor. I purchased a fancy Listello, I asked him how he was going to do the grouting, since it was so detailed. When I came back from work, they had just smooshed the grouting into the entire Listello. By that time, it had dried, and it looked horrible. I told him he needed to fix this. He attempted to fix this, but did a sloppy job. With an engraving pen, I was digging out the extra grout until my hands got blistered. I then told him he had to remove it and re-do it. I had to order extra Listello. When he removed the Listello, he created a big hole in the drywall above it, and then I never saw him again. He disappeared. He was unresponsive to my calls. I had to have a friend fix the mess that he did.I would warn others to stay away from this company!
Description of Work: He was supposed to remodel our second floor bathroom.

We could not be more satisfied. Mr. Scirrotto and his sons are wonderfully talented contractors and the nicest people. He has the high standards and is honest and ethical. We were very comfortable and felt like they were family. We still do and would like to see him but he repaired everything so well that nothing has needed fixing recently. You will not be disappointed by the quality of the work, the amount charged and the timeliness of completion.
Description of Work: Mr. Scirrotto and sons finished my 180 year old unfinished basement and outdated kitchen. This included installing from scratch a shower, sink and toilet where there had been none (this required new piping, pumps, plumbing), laid stone tile floors over bare concrete, put up new walls with moisture barrier, new ceilings and installed new floor to ceiling cabinets and new stairs. We actually didnt even give him any plans but just said, here is the basement, we want a bathroom and room for guests and he designed the whole thing. We were so pleased with the work we had him completely gut and renovate our kitchen down to the floor and bare walls. Nothing was left and then the whole thing was rebuilt and customized including wall tiles and integrated cabinetry. As our house is quite old and everythng slopes there were alot of trouble spots to deal with. Along the way he also did a variety of 'smaller' renovation/repair issues in the house. Mr. Scirrotto directed us to cabinet makers, tile and granite dealers, etc and in all cases even with comparing to other businesses, his recommendations turned out to be right on target, they offered us good prices and Mr. Scirrotto worked with these businesses to make it as easy for us as possible.

All of the work that John's crew has carried out has been of the highest quality. The structural repairs look to make the floor stronger than the original. The two doors also turned out very well. John's crew was always very professional and cleaned up any messes. The prices were reasonable although I don't remember exactly what they were.
Description of Work: John has done three jobs for us. He repaired some structural damage due to termites by sistering the damaged joist. This job also required the installation of a new floor. We choose hard wood. John also installed a new sliding glass door in the rear of our house and a new front entry door.

John was professional, on-time (actually early) and very straight-forward. The work looks very clean and solid. His crew left no debris behind.
Description of Work: John's crew restored the structural integrity to some floor joists that had been cut for basement stairs. The house is a circa 1900 3-story row-home. When the kitchen addition was built, the original basement stairs were covered over. New access was created via a staircase that runs underneath the staircase up to the second floor. The support structure was inadequate, resulting in problems over time. John capped the cut joists off and then sister-joiced the whole unit together, finishing it off with 2 builders' columns resting in concrete footings.
