I could not be more pleased with the service I received from Satir Plumbing & Heating. After discovering the failure of our water heater one evening and after spending a couple of hours cleaning up our partially flooded basement, I placed a call to Satir’s main number. Given the late hour, I didn’t expect a return call until some time the following day. To my relief, I was on the phone with Mr. Satir at 7:30am, and he was ringing my doorbell before 10:30am, even after telling me he had a couple of other jobs to do that same morning. Mr. Satir is responsive, patient, thorough, careful, pragmatic, and clearly very competent. He took time to diagnose and explain the root cause of the failure, and he recommended the minimum action required rather than simply urging me toward the most comprehensive and costly option. He listened to my concerns and provided useful insights. He worked neatly and efficiently, and he contacted me twice after the job to check on the effectiveness of the repair and to be sure I was satisfied with the outcome. I would recommend him for any similar project without hesitation.

Steve and Nick have worked for me since 1998, when I needed a stack replaced, which leaked through the walls.  They have performed every plumbing repair imaginable for me since then.  They come when I call them.  Most often it is simply replacing the flapper in a toilet that runs all the time.  In the instance above it was more complicated than usual because the fill valve and supply tube needed to be replaced as well.  Of course, they have the parts needed in their truck.

I had a real emergency with gas coming into our tenants apartment. PGW came and said the gas shut off needed to be replaced like yesterday. I went on Angie's list immediately to see who would be available quick, be local to Philly, and have great reviews. I left a message with Satir Plumbing and I got a call back in ten minutes. They sent a plumber out to my house within an hour and replaced the shut off valve in an hour's time. Satir Plumbing checked to make sure that there were no gas leaks and that all appliances using
gas were working properly. Often times when you call the plumber you are spending a ton of money but in this case the cost was very reasonable. I've been looking for a plumber who is reasonable, reliable and quick, and above all that goes the extra mile to check the systems surrounding the problem. Satir Plumbing did a stellar job and I will definitely use them again!

Fantastic. I rarely write reviews but these guys were so great I wanted to. Very professional and earnest, did quality work, very reasonably priced. The guy explained everything he was doing and why and showed me how to do some of it myself in case I needed to. He was also very courteous. I will definitely call them next time I need a plumber.

Steve Satir was a really nice and I really like him. I had problem with two toilets and I called a plumber who fixed it, one toilet was fine but in the second toilet the water level kept overflowing so he had to come back and readjusted it. He didn't charge me for readjusting it but a few hours after he left it started overflowing again and I didn't call back that plumber but a different plumber He came out and replaced the flapper which the first plumber never did and it's fine now. The name of plumber is Steve Satir. My neighbour has also used him for years. He is very professional and very good. The price was $78 which included the service charge and the cost of the valve. He also came in a day early that was even better, he called and said he was in the area and asked if he could come in and do it and I said that would be fabulous.

Mr. Satir is one of the best plumbers in the city. He is honest. He is also the most expensive plumber in the city. However, it is worth it. One can tell the time by him showing up. He is one of the only contractors left where if he says he would be there at 9, the door bell rings at 9. He shows up exactly when he says he would. I would use his services again, if he doesn't retire.

Plumber arrived promptly, was quick, courteous, professional. Happy to recommend this company, as this is the second small job they have efficiently done for me.

I call them often for many problems from leaks to strange smells to upgrades. They are knowledgeable and efficient.

I noticed dampness on the floor around one of my toilets, but couldn't tell where exactly it was coming from. After shutting off the water to the toilet, I gave Satir a call and left a detailed message. Steve called back early the next morning, and scheduled an appointment for 9am the following day. At 9am -- literally to the second -- my doorbell rang. Upon first look at the toilet, he couldn't see a leak or a probable cause. He checked the bowl, tank, bolts, all possible sources of the leak, but no water drops to be found. I took the opportunity to ask him to check a second toilet that had occasional drainage problems. He snaked out the line and discovered a dryer sheet that had inadvertently been flushed and had gotten caught somewhere along the line. Problem solved, and the flush immediately was much faster. Back upstairs to the first toilet. Since he had turned on the water when he was first checking for the leak, it apparently had taken a few minutes for the leak to reappear . . . plastic supply tube (original to the 30-year-old toilet) was cracked. A very quick replacement, and we were back in business. He was in and out of the house in less than 45 minutes, and I now had two problem toilets back in great shape.

I have used them for many years. They are very reliable and prompt. I have always been very statisfied. I would recommend their services to anyone.

FANTASTIC! I called to set up an appointment and they had a guy available right away. When he got to the house, he was friendly and very professional. We even got to chatting about our kids. He noticed problems that the previous contractors (who had installed the old toilet just a week before) created and walked me through every step. I'm so glad I called these guys.

We had a leaking third floor toilet and water damage on the second floor ceiling. They came and fixed the problem within one day. It may not have been a complicated repair job but their quick response time, professionalism and cost of the repair will keep me as a customer.

The plumber arrived early, and quickly performed all the repairs. It turns out the leaky toilet that bugged us for months required only a simple repair, same thing for the drains. I really appreciated the honesty in fixing the problem without adding services that I didn't really need. Everything went so fast that I had him check out a leak under my kitchen sink which also turned out to only be a matter of tightening a washer on the faucet. I will definitely use them as my go to plumbers.

He is the best plumber ever. He returns your phone calls and he is professional. He explains the work to you and shows up. He follows through and gives you alternatives. I’ve used him from day one and I would never switch until he retires. I know he tends to be expensive but I have never have had anything to back to him about.
