Sam the Cement Man

Do not recommend Patrick and his team from Sam the concrete man. The initial contact was great then downhill. Patrick reccommened starting with no walk thru, I vettoed that. Then the start date got moved up by a week. The guys showed up before or after other scheduled jobs, sometimes with warning of arrival. A 1-2 day job, turned into a week, probably because half the time the guys were just lounging around. Some verbal agreements were not met. Patrick changed the project mid job without consulting. We contracted and was quoted for fiber and rebar @4in concrete when I received 5in with mesh and fiber and was notified after the fact when questioned about it. The 2nd half of the job kept getting rescheduled. The concrete wasn't sealed with the top coat and the bleed trench around the concrete slab was not filled. (Both top seal and back fill were in contract) my husband and I are finishing this long drawn out process of a job. Concrete looks nice, hope it doesn't crack. Def overpaid...

My basement walls have been eroding and it didn't occur to me until after he had repointed. I had a flowerbed and apparently the basement was damp because water was coming through the basement walls from the flower bed. He repointed the porch and took out the flowerbed and cemented over where it was. Now there is no water coming into my basement it is perfectly dry. I had no idea. I really expected him to charge more and the price was very fair.
