Rudy Dew Restoration and Masonry

I was surprised at the cost so after he looked at it I told him to do it and I would write a check. He said sure I can come back tomorrow which was a Saturday.  Impressed with his responsiveness and coutesy.

This job was started in June 2013. While unfortunately, the contractor had a death in his immediate family, which we certainly understood would delay the completion, the work was not finished until December 2013. AND, that completion took place, only after we threatened him with contacting both the Better Business Bureau, Angie's List, and a television station.
This work was being done for our 94 year old mother, who also lost her son a year ago. It took many, many unanswered phone calls, and at least 10 promised dates for him to show up, where he did not, for the work to be done.  In the meantime, we found out he had moved on to do other jobs, leaving her dangling.
The demo was left for months, the masonry wall with no brick was left for months, and when the brickwork was finally installed, there was no mortar applied for at least a month, during which time, water could have gotten into the joints. We have no idea at this point whether the wall will crack after winter is over.
My mother gave him 1/2 the money for deposit, and he contacted her for the rest of the money, except for $200, which she unfortunately, unbeknownst to us, gave him. He also collected his final $200, after leaving the job unfinished for 6 MONTHS!!!
Do NOT use this guy.

The work they did was great and the house looks great. They were fairly prompt when they gave me the time they would be doing the work. We had some bad weather so they couldn't show up all the time but when they could work, they were prompt and on time. They did their job without having to bother us too much unless they had a question about something I wanted them to do. I would definitely use them again.
