He was backed up and unable to come. But without my asking for it he gave us good advice about what to do to make things better till we found someone. Actually, he prevented some major damage. Nice guy, helpful beyond what he needed to be.

Awesome job. They scheduled right away, were on time, polite, clean. I know its only a toilet valve but they actually installed a very nice looking valve which was an unexpected plus! Have actually asked them for other Trade referrals because I feel I can trust them.

Couldn't have been easier. Found the water heater leaking about noon. I Called a friend owns several rental properties nearby to find out who he uses and he recommended Metzger plumbing. I spoke to them about 1, gave them information about the existing unit, etc. and gave me quote for the whole job - end to end and said that they could come mid-morning the next day. Price was inline with what I had researched, so scheduled the work. Someone showed up about 9:30, earlier than expected, which in this case was a good thing. They looked things over, talked about the options and resolved a problem with the new heaters being too wide by finding an equivalent model that was taller and narrower. The whole exercise took just about two hours. Plumber was extremely nice and helpful. Based upon this experience, I would absolutely use them again and recommend them to others. One word of advice to those of you that have water heaters - they need to be maintained regularly (every 4 months or so) to prevent buildup of rust and debris which will dramatically shorten the life of the unit. It's easy to do and your unit will last closer to 20 years instead of 7 or 8. I'm sure that you can look up the specifics of what's involved online somewhere.

Everything was fine. Able to schedule quickly. Showed up on time. Finished very quickly.

Positives: Picked up the phone when I called. Gave me some price information ahead of time. Fixed the problem. Negatives: Tried to up-sell me on a new toilet over the phone and again in person. Anthony came half an hour early and never called despite saying he would. Didn't come with his own bags and cleaning rags so had to use mine. Treated me like a nuisance when I asked questions about the preposed repairs. Barely shook my hand after handing him the check.

Great. On Time, efficient, quality of work was excellent.

It went great! It was a simple job, but when I called other plumbers, they wouldn't even give me a an idea of how much it would cost and they made a big deal out of sealing that needed to be done. Robert Metzger is friendly, honest and his workers are too. They did good work, and got the job done!

Came the same day I called, showed up on time, took care of the problem! Very professional.

Seamless, Very happy to work with a neighborhood vendor and have such a great experience.

After waiting 2 weeks for the oil company to extend the pipe I was told they couldn't do it. Metzger Plumbing came out the next day, re-routed and extended the pipe, completing the job the same day. Even the oil company was impressed by the workmanship. The plumbers were professional and courteous. I have been doing business with this company for a few years now and have always been satisfied with the results.

10 years old I ought to replaceplace  The work that was done was fine but there was an additional problem.  The pull-out hose on my faucet was leaking under the sink.  The plumber said that it needed a new part and told me that because the unit was over 10 years old that the manufacturer probably wouldn't have the part.  He advocated overall replacement of the unit.  Luckily, a friend reminded me that such things usually have a lifetime warranty.  The new part came quickly, but I will have a handyman put it in.

Two people from the company returned my telephone call promptly. They were on holiday but recommended another plumber.

Robert made two trips out to the house to locate the issue with our water pressure. It was determined that the water was flowing properly throughout the home and the problem was with the outside plumbing under the sidewalk. He was great. I would recommend him to anyone.

I like them because they really took care of things.

He seemed to be competent, honest, and reliable.

Metzger Plumbing has been a great service for me for a long time. He provides excellent service, is knowledgeable and also helpful in supporting me in services outside of just plumbing. He has connected me to other service providers that I've come to trust as well.

His price is higher than some, but the quality of work performed by his plumbers has been high. If there is a problem, his people return promptly to fix it. (For example, we had a minor drip on a pipe adjacent to work that they perfomed that may or may not have been attributed to the work Metzger's crew did, but after I called Bob about it, they returned early the next day to fix it.) His crews work well on both jobs that require permits and jobs that don't.

He was good and he was very professional. It went from my basement down to the fire block and whoever did it, they had to dig the fire block off and re pour the concentrate that was really bad. I called him and he redid it. Obviously I was not pleased but first go round was not good but he was very responsive and fully rebounded. He was fairly priced.

This is the 4th time I have used this company for my home and a rental property. I have had horrible experience with other plumbers but I feel Robert is very honest and yes his prices may be a little bit high but its worth the peace of mind to know that I am not going to get ripped off which is why I call him first. 50 Gal AO Smith elec water heater went out early this morning (8 years old, gets a lot of heavy use) soaking the basement carpet - thankfully I had a little battery powered water alarm on the floor next to the heater and I heard it at 2AM. Went down, turned off the water and elec power supply, cleaned up most of the the water with the shop-vac and left a voice message on the plumber's office phone at 4AM and went to bed. He called himself at 7:30AM! Said he would be there in a few hours. Showed up at 9:30AM - got to work by himself - his crew was out on another job. By 11:30 - 2 hours later , a new AO Smith heater was installed - he likes this brand - and the old one hauled away by his helper. At $900 the cost was a bit high for the area but I am happy to have had the job done quickly and correctly. If you have a good plumber, don't argue price, pay the bill and be glad you didn't fall into the hands of the rip-off artists who are very numerous in Philly (don't ever hire someone who buys a full page ad in the yellow pages).
