About 2 years ago I had a complete Heating and Central Air Conditioning system installed by Rick Smith and Philly Mechanical. The system in general worked, initially, but there were always glitches in the central air system like getting the compressor to start. At the end of last summer (2013), I shut the air conditioning system off for a brief period. When I turned it back on, the compressor would not run. Rick Smith came out on a service call and said I needed a new compressor. Having a 10 year warranty on the compressor, I saw no problem. However, I called Rick Smith several times after that to get the compressor replaced and got no response. From March through May of this year (2014), I called Rick Smith at least 2 dozen times but there still has been no response. I am confused as to why he will not stand behind his warranty. Are there other customers of his out there also left with a meaningless warranty? To whom ever reads this review, I would recommend great CAUTION when dealing with Rick Smith and Philly Mechanical.
