.She is a very friendly person who explains everything in full and has a nice studio in Olde City. Her work that I saw was professional and she did it quickly.  I'm very pleased and would definitely use her services again.

Fabulous!

Melanie truly knows her craft.  The chair seats we gave her had been covered with thin padding and the fabric had been stained and burned with cigarette holes in many places.  She stripped all of the old and smelly material from the seats and then pointed us a website that allowed us to find the right fabric at the right price.  The fabric was delivered directly to her shop and she made several suggestions about how to properly trim the seats that we would have never known to ask for but significantly improved the look of the finished product.  The chair covers were all done on schedule and we have already started getting compliments from friends and family on how good they look.  Price listed includes the cost of fabric.

It turned out beautiful, absolutely fantastic. She came and picked them up. She even delivered them back here when she was done. When I first talked to her, she gave me the option of either purchasing my own material. I could go to her show room where she had a ton of books to go through. I decided to purchase my own fabric, which she was perfectly fine with. She came to my home. I gave her the fabric and the two chairs. She looked at the chairs and gave me an estimate on how much it would cost. Both chairs have wood arms and legs. It's like an older type chair where only the back and the seat have fabric on them. She didn't replace the wood. But what she did was, she was able to fill any nicks or scratches and made it shine. It doesn't look brand new like you just bought it. But it looks richer. She just did new stuffing and padding and whatever else. She re-did all of that. So they look fantastic. Then she put the fabric on them. She made a small pillow for one of the chairs as well. It was the first time I had ever done it. For some people it might not have been worth it. Fort me it was more of a sentimental thing because they've been in the family for so long. It was definitely something I would recommend to somebody else. The scheduling was surprisingly easy considering that she had to come home and get them and everything. I told her to take her time. I was in no rush. So, all in all the whole service took a month. She was very easy to talk to. She did keep me updated on the status and what was going on. She was very easy to schedule. She is a delight to work with.

She arranged for pick up and delivery. We provided the fabric which we bought at Crate and Barrel.
