Lou is honest, reliable and straightforward. You can tell he does things the right way and takes pride in that fact. As another reviewer noted, he immediately noticed the half-assed work done by the people who rehabbed my home. He quickly diagnosed the reason why I was getting water in my basement (rehabbers did not replace part of the sewer line). He also talked me down on a Saturday night during a rain storm when water was POURING through 2 holes in my basement walls. I was able to schedule him for major work very quickly; he got all the permits, not fuss, showed up on time (a bit early), did the work, cleaned up after a messy job, and was a pleasure to work with throughout. If you are looking for an honest, reliable and experienced plumber, Lou is your man.

Lou DiGiovanni is the real deal. I had an idea of what I thought would be a solution to the overflow problem, which he patiently listened to. Once we got to the basement, though, he saw the problem right away and was legitimately annoyed by the sloppy work done by the contractors who built my house (Apex). Tacking up the tubes and shimming the one pipe didn't actually have anything to do with the issue at hand, but he did it for free because he felt that it was the right thing to do. He's not the most personable guy, a little gruff, but I didn't need a best friend, I needed someone to make my washing machine operable. He gave me an estimate up front which was exactly what I paid. He came right on time and it took exactly as long as he said it would. When I had more overflow issues in September, he came back, added some pipe to make me happy, didn't charge me a cent, and said I just needed to be changing my mesh filters more regularly.
Unfortunately, he let me down recently when I had a plumbing emergency. I called his cell and he didn't get back to me until much later in the evening, citing some issue with his phone not showing him missed calls. I don't know if he needs to replace his phone, if he forgot to check it, or whatever, but ya gotta pick up your emergency line.

This was my second appointment with Lou. He came on short notice over the summer when I had a leaking faucet right before a vacation. At that point we discussed my need for his check valve, which he installed at this appointment. He answered my many questions. He's easy to reach and communicate with.

Everything was done quickly, on time and neatly. We used him a number of times over course of 17 years.

He is very responsive and always calls you right back.

I have already recommended him to friends and I would recommend him to anyone looking for a great, professional plumber.

I was able to get an appointment within 24 hours of contacting Lou. He came out and was able to quickly resolve the problem. I would definitely recommend him to a friend of family member, and he will be the first person I call for any plumbing or HVAC needs going forward.

Lou promptly installed a new hot water heater. He removed the old hot water heater and left the place very clean.

They came right out within 20 minutes and fixed the issue no problem.

Contacted by e-mail and responded promptly, inspected the issues and provided estimate two days later, performed repairs and replaced garbage disposal in timely manner.

He came same day, did the job and explained how I can do it myself if it happens again. Given what plumbers charge, I thought the price was a bargain.

We couldn't be more pleased. Received a recommendation from a friend. Called Lou and he came out that afternoon (Friday) to have a look and give us a fair and reasonable estimate. He was here promptly on Monday morning to do the work. Everything was done quickly and cleanly and took about an hour total. If you didn't know he had been here, you wouldn't have been able to tell. Fantastic work, and a really nice guy as well.

We have radiator heat and on 2/27 I noticed the radiators in my room, the kitchen and two other rooms were not working however the other radiators were.
I called Lou on 2/27 and left a message; he called me that morning and we made arrangements for him to come by in the afternoon on 3/1. Lou called before he came and arrived shortly thereafter. I've known Lou for over 10 years; he's done all our plumbing since we moved into this house so he's familiar with our system. He and George diagnosed the problem right away and replaced the part.
I received a detailed bill with a recommendation to call for service before I turn the heat on in the fall. I'm always satisfied with their work and highly recommend this company.
