The representative, Kim, told me that I should try to try to re-install the device a third time, which I will do. My issue is that the representative told me that, if the re-install doesn't activate the device, the device is either defective or it is incompatible with my car and they would not send me another one because it takes too long to send out the second device after returning the one that is not working and there is a time limit for collecting data after the first device is shipped. I suggested that they restart the time for data collection when the second device was received and the representative said they do not do that. That would leave me with only a 5% discount on my policy when I would be eligible for up to a 30% discount if the device worked. I suggested that they at least double the standard discount for those who, through no fault of their own, were unable to use the device and she said that was not possible. I am vey unhappy with this aspect of the policy and I think people should be aware of this.
