J & K Roofing LLC

November 2021 I hired J&K Roofing LLC 1603 W. 67th Ave Phila., PA 19126 to install a new rubber roof and a new skylight. I thought they did a great job and John sent me lots of pictures. I was so pleased with his work that I hired him to do the same on another property. Fast-forward to June 2024. I had an issue with heavy leaking in my bathroom around the skylight when it rained. Damaging my ceiling and floors. I contacted John and it took him 3 days before he sent me a message asking for my address, which I gave him when I sent the the first text. He had all types of excuses. "Did you pull the chain until it clicked?" "you need a new coating" "it could be the smokestack" "it's 110 degrees" He was very rude and condescending. Finally after 4 weeks, he said he was going to get a new skylight, but I watched him on camera as he climbed the ladder with a bucket (I assume it was tar) but no skylight. August 2024 and my roof is still leaking, so I had to hire a new roofer for an estimate. He told me that J&K Roofing never installed a new rubber roof which they were paid to do. They only did a coating over my old roof. J&K Roofing's customer service, quality and workmanship has definitely changed and not for the better. John is deceitful and cannot be trusted. I would not recommend their services. I wish I could post this review with no stars!

I needed a roofing problem fixed at my rental property and J and K Roofing LLC was recommended to me by my contractor.  He had used this company on various jobs in the past and did not hesitate to suggest them to me. 
My assessment of the problem was that heavy rains this summer had dislodged the downspout and as a result, water was cascading from the third floor roof ledge into the walkway.  When I called J and K, Mr. Ricketts came out the same day to give me an estimate.  He also let me know that the spout didn't fit properly in the first place and that it was causing the overflow because of that.  He also let me know that he was on another job and would be tied up for three days, so his crew would not be available until Saturday.  As rain was not in the forecast, that was not a problem. 
On Saturday, the crew arrived a little late, but the work was done efficiently and professionally.  The estimate was for $1000 and that was the cost of the job.  Everything that was in the written estimate was completed and the job was done in about 2 hours.  All debris (metal, nails, tar paper) was removed and the area was cleaned up when the work was done.  I had no complaints about the work and will definitely use J and K Roofing again.
