Mr. diefenderfer answered my phone call right away. He came and gave me an estimate the very next morning. His price was very reasonable. He was clean. Overall I am happy with his service.

During a prior visit he screwed down underflooring in rooms where the
carpeting was being replaced, but we identified that it wasn't enough
for a specific area.
Mr. Diefenderfer took some measurements of the
beams in my basement and we discussed the options to correct the
problem. His first suggestion was to put in a vertical pole to support a
new beam. This had been done in another part of the basement, but I
didn't want to do it again, since it would hurt the possibility of
finishing the basement, in the future. We settled on putting in and quot;Sisterand quot;
joists, to supplement the joists that the builder put in 25 years ago, when the house was new.
He went out and purchased the materials and came back and completed the work. Total time was a little over 3 hours.
Three new beams were both glued and screwed onto three existing beams, to give them more rigidity. During the install, some duct work had to be removed and replaced and some house wiring was relocated.
This was the 3rd job that Mr. Diefenderfer has done for me. I've been completely satisfied with each instance. He has lots of experience and is resourceful in figuring out the best way to fix a problem
