While the owner was initially pleasant on the phone, the actual workers who came out seemed to have a very limited skill set and knowledge base. Anything that required more than minimal effort to fix was either not attempted or I was told to just "replace it." The company was not forthcoming about costs, I received an astronomical bill after the service, and I feel taken advantage of with tradespeople-pricing-for-females. I am not giving a lower rating simply because the work that was actually done (the garbage disposal replacement) seems to have been done correctly (thus far).

We have a Bosch tankless water heater, that was not working intermittently. We call Bosch and they asked that we call one of their local certified technicians. Of all the Bosch certified technicians GJ Stimmler was the only one within the right radius of service and were able to come. Andrew Stimmler, on the first visit came and opened up the heater to diagnose the problem and had to call Bosch to troubleshoot it. After 3 hours of troubleshooting he told me that after talking with Bosch, I needed to change some parts which he already told Bosch about, and I just had to call Bosch and pay for it, which I did right away. He closed up all the parts and I noticed that he didn't connect the water connection back to the unit, and when asked he just connected it back without any explanation and left. Issue 1: After he left, I opened a faucet in the bathroom and the hot water heater started leaking all over!! When I called him back he didn't respond for a long time, and finally after sending a video of my leaking "like a waterfall" unit, he finally told me that while opening up the unit, the "o-ring" broke the seal, and tried to blame me for asking him to connect the water back on (even though he never explained to me in the first place why he wanted to leave the water disconnected or that he broke the o-ring seal during diagnosis). He refused to come back to fix the problem and just gave me instructions on how to disconnect the water from the unit and put a bucket underneath to collect the leaky water!! I had already paid him for 3 hours worth of work, and now I had a leaky unit with a bucket underneath!!! He refused to come back to fix it that day or day after, and said he would come only after the parts arrived. Issue 2: After the parts arrived, we scheduled a day for him to come replace the faulty parts and fix the unit. He doesnt come himself but sends 2 of his employees, who arrive about 2 hrs late without as much as a courtesy call to inform me they were delayed or arriving late. Once they arrived they informed me that the parts that arrived were the wrong parts!!! Mind you, Andrew and Bosch made the call on what parts were ordered, and I just called in to pay for it. When I made a comment that, between Andrew Stimmler and Bosch they had to figure it out, and get the right parts, he said what I said was offensive and quit the job!! I had to call again to beg him to tell me what the right parts were so I could call Bosch to order and find some other plumber to fix this!! So, he basically caused my water heater to leak, didnt tell me about it, worked with Bosch to order the wrong parts and then quits because I had the "audacity" to call him out on his mistakes!! Now I am stuck because there is no other plumber who is knowledgeable of Bosch Tankless Heaters within my service area. I have to now look at options to replace my entire unit!! Andrew Stimmler is a blight on any honest, hard-working plumber and please avoid him at all costs!!

I recently bought a house and needed the furnace/boiler checked prior to the winter season.  I was also having some issues with the system in general.  I called the  company that had serviced the equipment for years (The previous owner had highly recommended) and they no showed on me twice but called me back to see if I wanted to buy a service plan.  (!?!).  That was enough for me.  I started the hunt for a new Heating guy.
Out of desperation I asked a friend for a referral and she recommended G.J. Stimmler and sons.  (She raved about them and how honest they were)  I'm very happy that she referred them.  In no time, I had the owner Andrew and his assistant on my doorstep and the furnace was being cleaned and inspected.  They identified the cause of my problems and replaced an electrical part.  The bill was very reasonable and I never felt like they were rushing to get to the next job.
This is a local, family owned company that's a couple of generations in the making.  I can see why they have endured.  The entire time they were working, Andy answered my barrage of questions about hot water heating systems in general and my 36 year old boiler in particular.  I asked when it should be replaced.  Clearly, there are no high pressure sales tactics here.  I was told my system is past it's normal "useful" life of 30 years but that it's been very well maintained and does not look it's age at all.  He said it was a coin toss and that the boiler  could last for a few years more or die in a few months. There's just no way to know.  He simply suggested putting money away as and when I can and planning for a new system down the road.  On top of that, (and unrelated to heating)  when I asked him if he knew of a good tree service, he gave me the name and number of a local guy and that worked out fantastically.
What sealed the deal for me was about a month later, I called the emergency line because my furnace went out.  Andy diagnosed the problem over the phone based on my description and told me what to do.  Heat restored.  Zero charge.  These are the only guys I will use from now on.  I cannot recommend them enough and I see their truck in the neighborhood a couple of times a week at least.

Fantastic.  I've used them for years for my plumbing needs.  They always do a great job for a fair price.  They have been doing plumbing work in the area for 4 generations.

They are pretty good. I called them this morning, and they were here within an hour. I have used this company several times. They may not be the cheapest company, but they do good work and are pretty reliable.

It went well, I stayed out of the plumbers' way which frankly I think they appreciated. The guys were professional but not all that friendly, but I didn't really care because I needed the job done quickly so we could use our washing machine again after almost of week of not being able to use it. I thought it was a little pricey, but I've never had a drain that needed professional un-clogging so I had no way of knowing what a really good price was -- nonetheless it seemed a little expensive.

They are always pleasant and complete the work quickly. On occasion, they have had to return for minor reasons and do so willingly.

They arrived almost on time and they did not introduce themselves. They were just "the plumbers". Perhaps they go by plumber A and plumber B. They first attempted to resolve my clog by using a plunger. Of course for them it worked. I feel the charge of $85.00 for less than 10 minutes worth of work was a bit high, especially since I have used them before for other plumbing services.
