They refuse to refund my money and they are trying to appease me with  nonsense. I would NOT trust them touching my roof!

fischer replaced the roof. and the job was decent as was the price.
however, later on when it came to install a skylight, they insisted that
in order to retain my warranty that they needed to do the work. fair
enough. the rep shows up at the house four days later on 15 minutes
notice. climbs the roof without first properly introducing himself. then
never returns my calls for the quote. several weeks later. new rep.
same issue. no calls.
so much for a warranty on my roof. i had to move forward with another contractor.

They replaced the sky lights for me. I have had to call them back 4 times because of leaking. I have had to try to reach them this last time, because they are leaking again. I told them I wanted them replaced if they started leaking again. I have a 15 year guarantee for the sky lights and I have not made it one full year without leaking. They are not responsive this last time I have called them. I have now not heard from them in a month and a half.

The person who came out for the estimate was not very professional, and spoke only to my male partner despite the fact that I was the one who called to make the appointment, even when I asked him questions.  That did not make me excited to give them business, but we decided to go with Fischer because they had good reviews, a 10 year warranty, and because they gave us the best price.  However, it's only been a few months and we're already having problems.  Our roof is leaking in the same places it was before they put on the new roof.  What's worse is that it's been three weeks since we've called asking for them to come check our roof, and they haven't yet made it out.  We've called each week, and they say that we'll get a call back or someone will come out before the end of the week, but we haven't seen or heard from them yet.  I'll update this review if and when they come to fix our roof.  But at this point, I wish I'd paid a little more for higher quality roofers.

Extremely disappointed, given the experience I typically have with companies rated high on Angie's List as this one has been.
Initially obtained a reasonably fast quote from the company. Usually I get two or three quotes on a job but given the company's high rating on Angie's List and my limited time, I decided to use them w/o getting additional quotes, so I can't specifically compare their price to others. Will never make that mistake again!!
I scheduled the appointment for 9:00 am; was told I must be home while the work was being done; was not told why. I told the scheduler I had to leave by 11:15; she assured me that I was the day's first appointment.
On the day of the appt, company had not shown by 9:30; called and was told that they were "on their way". Subsequent calls revealed they were at another job -- a "cleanup" from the previous day -- but they would be at my house at "some point."
I asked why I had to be home while the work was being done: "Because we need to be paid. But we'll take a credit card over the phone." I had to be home only because they needed to be paid?? And they expected me to pay them -- already being late -- *before* they ever showed up to do any work?!! I should have cancelled the job at that point.
I left at 11:15 and returned at 3:00 -- company had STILL not shown up. I called and was about to cancel the job when they appeared @ 3:15 -- over 6 hours late with not so much as a "sorry"!! Workers were a bit arrogant: "Not my fault, lady -- don't take it out on me."
They worked for slightly over an hour (for $1250. -- perhaps this wasn't too much but it sure feels that way) and told me they were finished. I went out to look at the work and found they had reattached the trim with a patch piece that was both structurally and aesthetically poor -- the piece was clearly damaged and there were gaps all around that would let water and moisture in, which was the reason the roof failed in the first place. I pointed this out to them and they replaced the piece with a better-appearing one, which took all of another 10 minutes.
I called the company the next morning and asked to speak with the owner. Someone took the call in her stead: "I deal with all the office problems." They would not put me through to the owner. I explained what happened and that the fact that the workers were planning to leave the trim in such poor condition made me concerned that what was *under* the trim was also done poorly. "So you think we did a bad job." That's all this person had to say to me -- he was unable to understand anything I was trying to explain. I finally gave up (owner picked the right guy to take her calls -- he is so exasperating to communicate with he's great at chasing the problems away!!). I was told the company "will be out to check the work" but never heard anything back from them.
Finally, I never received a receipt for the work; was told one would be left at the house when they returned but have seen nothing in the weeks between then and now.
I have to stop writing now; I can feel my blood pressure rising. I HATE feeling taken advantage of. If I had used a credit card to pay them I probably would have pursued modifying the payment, but I didn't feel like paying another $40 to cancel my check. All I can say is stay away from this company!

They are honest people. They made economical choices for me. They came very recommended to me. You couldn't go wrong with this company.

They came when they said they would. They replaced my old roof with a new one that carried a 15 year garanty

It was very smooth. They worked efficiently and the final quality was excellent. Overall, an excellent experience and value.

He is very good. We refer him to several people. He is dependable and we have never had any problems.

I overpaid them by $250.00 and they called me and told me I overpaid them and they sent a check back to me which was phenomenal to me. They did an excellent job. I did have a leak this year with the gutters and that was in June '09, I called them and they came out to fix it and they let me know that where the joining of the gutters was, it was not sealed and they took care of it and I do not have the leak anymore. I had to only make one phone call to have them take care of this. I did have a problem when they tore off the roof, they broke a window and the alarm went off and the police came out. I did not know about any of this until I saw the broken window and I called them and told the supervisor of the project and he said "Oh yeah" and they fixed it for me so that is why I am giving a "B" for professionalism. They needed to tell me about this, I did not need to go to them to tell them, they should have come to me initially.

The company representatives were very courteous and professional. The job was completed to my satisfaction.

With other bids, Fisher Roof was the best price. They completed the entire roofing project in one day. They arrived as scheduled and diligently stayed working until finished. I would definitely rehire them as I was very satisfied with the outcome.
