Would like to preface this by saying I hate that I have to write a bad review but Ed was given a chance to make things right and I work too hard to give my money away for less than subpar services. After waiting for over a month for him to show, during which time I mowed my lawn every week so that It wasnt a forest by the time he showed, he finally made his appearance. Considering it had rained the day or so previous and most competent landscapers wouldn't mow under those conditions, considering it needed it and that I wasnt aware he was coming until he was on his way, I let him go about his business. After just over 20 minutes (clocked on my ring camera) I got a text saying it was done and I owed him $50 despite the agreed upon price being $45 before. Considering the cost of everything I kind of expect yearly price increases, but after services have been rendered is not the time to tell a customer. Upon arriving home I immediately found clumps/piles of grass in front of all of my neighbors houses. Although it seems to be common practice to blow clippings in the street, this was beyond an acceptable amount. After seeing this I took a closer look. There was more than one part of my yard completely torn up from tires, leaving holes inches deep, the mower was set so low that when on any incline it looked like someone did donuts in my front yard, and edging was done poorly or not at all in spots. pictures are provided for reference. Due to the fact I didnt known how exactly to handle this situation, I did not send payment that night and recieved a text from Ed the next day asking why he didnt recieve payment despite him not responding to my message about discontinuing services due to untold price increase. I explained the situation and sent attached pictures and it became immediately clear the $45 was more important than righting the wrong or keeping a customer happy. I agreed to send payment and was transparent that if I was paying full price for half ..... work than payment would go along with this type of acknowledgement. so here we are. payment is sent as of this afternoon and this is my review..id rather cut my whole lawn with scissors before ever doing business again.
