Larry arrived on time to start the job at 10am. He immediately began working. I checked in with him at 3pm to see if everything was okay and he was almost done. He explained what he had completed so far and gave me an update on when he would be done. By the time I arrived home the pipe was finished, the concrete settling and the basement itself spotless in the work area. Larry followed up with a phone call after he was done and asked me if I had any questions or concerns. He also warned me about some of the various odors from the materials used on the pipes and reassured me they wouldn't be a problem. Overall it was one of the most pleasurable experiences I've had working with a contractor on my home. The work was quick, neat, affordable and above and beyond what I expected. I highly recommend their services.
Description of Work: The main drainage pipe of my residence made of cast iron was at the end of its life. It had begun to leak slowly and needed replacement. I spoke with Larry and he set up an appointment to come out and talk to me about the job. Larry was shown the pipe and took multiple photographs and detailed the course of action for this sort of job. Larry ran down two possible scenarios that we could go with. The first would be replacing the visible 15ft of pipe with PVC and replacing the concrete around the pipe. The second more expensive option was to replace the 15ft run of pipe and also excavating an additional 5ft of pipe under my basement floor up to my outside wall. Larry explained why the second option was more expensive going as far as to explain having to use cast iron pipe if the pipe goes underground. Larry explained he was going to bounce the options off his father (the owner) to work out the best course of action for my job and also save me from spending more money then I would need to. Larry promptly got back in touch with me within two days and gave me a quote, his opinion of the best course of action and when they could start the job if I was ready to proceed. Services included removal of existing cast iron pipe, installation of new PVC pipe, replacement of concrete around the pipe, removal of debris and clean up.
