Boulevard Animal Hospital

The service was good. It was clean. Punctuality was great. They took us right in. It looked like they cared about her. She recommended some things. They provided the medicine for her ears. It was just a great service overall.

What actually happened is that Dr. Chacosky and Boulevard Animal Hospital were completely incompetent and neglected to do a simple test that could have saved Jamie. The Dr. then gave Jamie a medicine that actually worsened her condition. Finally, with Jamie's weakened condition, and lowered immune system from the steroids, they prescribed Nexgard. If you search Nexgard, you will see numerous cases of it causing seizures and killing dogs. A number of Veterinarians will not even use it because of the risks associated with it and a number of local Vets have since said they would not have given it in conjunction with high dose steroids. I have gone to Boulevard Animal Hospital for nearly three decades. Their prices are higher than most but I always felt that the quality of care made it worth the cost. Needless to say, my three decade run is over and I will be searching for a new Vet. The fact that Dr. Brett Geffen who has treated many of my animals could come up with no answer other then I'm not sure I would have done anything different is a joke. His Dr. killed a dog in three weeks and he may have done the same. Sounds like either a cover story for Dr. Incompetent or maybe Dr. Brett wasn't as good as I thought if these results are something he would have duplicated. I also be reported Dr. Nicolle Chacosky to the Pennsylvania Veterinary Board. She was only nine years old. In one month she went from a healthy dog with no issues other then a slightly wonky knee and a low grade, untreated heart murmur, to no longer with us. Dr. Chacosky wants to say underlying conditions in her excuses. Jamie had her physical 2 months before and got a clean bill of health. If you look up Demodex Mites, the underlying condition was the steroids that she prescribed without doing a $15 test to save my dog. I loved that little mutt more than I can possibly put into words. I miss her with all of my heart. If you have read this far, I am sorry for running on but I hope that the information at least helps someone. Thanks for listening. R.I.P. my sweet little girl.

Wonderful! I love Boulevard Animal Hospital. The staff are friendly, considerate and truly love our pets! The office is clean and smells nice and Dr. Brett was awesome with my little dog Caydie!! If anyone is looking for a great vet, this is the only place to go! I've been going to them for years and will never change.

It costs $500 each time. They are too expensive, other than that, we have good care with them.

They were pleasant, immediate service and helped with all our concerns.

The staff and Vets were very nice. Although I was just there for an exam and x-rays they were very helpful in recommending a specialist for my dog's problem. Additionally someone even called to follow up with me and see how my Dog was feeling.

My dog is a nervous, high-strung pit mix and she was afraid. The wait was short. The vet and the assistant talked to the dog, gave her treats and won her over. They seemed to understand how this dog thinks and she's a sort of erratic, unpredictable soul. They took blood samples, gave her whatever shots she needed and charged what is now considered a reasonable amount for a vet. Additionally, there are several vets who work here. My past experience has been that when there are situations that need another opinion, they consult with one another. I once brought a dog in who had severe stomach pains. (They gave me an emergency appointment right away, although I had never been there before.) The vet spent over an hour with her and consulted with another vet who was there. The cost was reasonable and the dog got better! Their professionalism and efficiency and kindness to my dogs is impressive.

I like them a lot. They have nice doctors up there that cares of the pet. They have their own labs where they can test the blood work and everything there. They are little expensive but I get medicine and things like that.

They are my usual vet. My cat didn't like it too much but it was okay. The visit was fine. They are very knowledgeable and they are good with animals. I've been using them for years.

I thought they were excellent from start to finish. They were very professional.

While it may seem very expensive to spend $300 on an exam, shots and preventative medication, I found they were no higher than anyone else and they were a lot nicer. They really care about your animals.
