Masonry Work
Paid him over $1,000 over a year ago to come in and he hasn't done anything. I have left repeated messages and have not heard from him.

Masonry Work
The work started in November, but was delayed repeatedly. I had used Dolan three times previously for some small jobs and was satisfied, so I had no problems with rehiring them and paying in full up front. What a mistake!
After they didn't show on the second day, I started a string of emails (maybe 50, 60, 75 or more - I lost count) over almost a nine month period. Dolan wrote back with excuse after excuse and never returned as promised. I called four times, got the owner's voice mail, but he never returned my calls.
A few months ago they returned and continued the work, but again didn't finish. They left their supplies and equipment behind in my yard. Finally, to my surprise, they finished yesterday. The quality of the brickpointing on the front wall is sloppy. There is mortar not only between the bricks, but on the bricks too.
Overall, a very unprofessional owner and company.

Masonry Work
His team arrived on time, set up the scaffolding and then continued to SCREAM at each other ALL day. They were a father and son and were screaming so loud, and so crassly that a couple of my neighbors complained. And I live in South Philly.
They finished the work in two days and sealed the brick. But the water leak continued. For almost two years I had people come and try to figure out the source of the leak. The roof is new. The windows are new. I had everything recaulked, etc. And yet..
Finally I hired a Water Leak specialist and he found that they had missed a huge amount of brickwork in the middle of the wall. They had done a good job around the perimeter but didn't do the middle. He took many pictures showing the lack of mortar, etc.
I called Bill Dolan. After many calls, he finally came over this September. He agreed the work was subpar. He said they would stand behind their work and he would have a team over the next week to fill in the gaps and reseal the area.
Next week: No show. He said he would have a crew out the next week after that. And so on, and so on.
