Better Pool Management

Not good. We've been long time customers for years and have put up with cancellations and the sort. The breaking point was Jim. You will never deal with a more abusive and condescending individual. He has berated my wife over the air leak trying to tell her we had a broken pipe that was causing the problem and would cost 5000 to fix. He sent out a crew to fix the problem but it continued. He sent out another crew after again berating my wife. Mind you he charged 145 per visit. The second experienced crew found that a motor plug was improperly installed during opening in a manner of minutes and that corrected the problem. No broken pipe. As for the skimmer they did not put a expansion joint when they concreted a new color around the skimmer thus the concrete broke and broke the coping also. Again Jim stepped in and told my wife it would cost 2500 to fix and it was our fault. He never saw the job but knew what was going on. He again berated my wife with his abusive talk. I talked to him myself telling him i didn't like him abusing my wife and his response was he didn't care and I just don't listen. I did complain to a tech about Jim and he told me that he loses customers on a daily basis and the company compensates by raising rates on existing customers but he is a friend of the owner and nothing can be done. What a terrible way to treat customers and a terrible way to run a business. We have been with Better Pool for 11 or 12 years but there will not be a 13th. I would stay clear of this company

We HAD been customers for several years... even after moving homes and having the pool installer open/close our first year - we went back to Better Pool Management.
However,  this year they lost a long time customer.
Several weeks prior - I had signed and returned an annual contract.  Sadly - this either failed to arrive or was lost by their office.
I ended up calling to schedule the service and my only request was that it be opened by Memorial Day.  This gave them a few weeks to get it scheduled and they arranged to have it opened on Wednesday, May 20th.  
Unfortuantely - they called me the day the pool was supposed to be opened and informed me that one of their technicians was sick and that they would not be opening my pool.  I informed them that I needed the pool opened no later than Friday because we had a party scheduled memorial day weekend.  I also informed the office that if the pool was unable to be opened by Friday that they should cancel the contract and issue the refund.
The called me the following morning to inform me that they would not be able to open the pool... and that I would need to wait until Wednesday the 27th.  I requested a refund.
I understand that people get sick.... but the fact that the service provided would not have other crews available or be offering their technicians overtime to address situations of this nature indicates that they probably cannot be relied upon.
I would recommend looking elsewhere for service.  They have lost the ongoing business of a customer that 
had been a repeat customer.
Sadly - I would not recommend Better Pool Management

They were a little expensive. I was very pleased that they resolved the problem though. They came out twice and both times were very good and very professional.

Pool company is competent. Office staff are always available when you call. Organized with the schedule to open and close your pool. The problem for me was the people they sent. They sent two guys - 1 who appeared very competent and another disheveled looking guy who could have cared less about what he was doing. They seemed bothered by my questions (1st time pool owner) and just wanted to get the job done. Their price is in line with what everyone seems to charge (too much!). For that amount of money, I will take my business to a provider who sends more professional and eager workers.

When they came out to open our pool, they explained to me how I could do it. Instead of charging a ton of money, they taught me how to do it instead. It was fantastic. When they come out and teach you, they tell you to buy their supplies because they are cheaper. The entire staff is very friendly. When they came out to show me, I wasn't under any time restraint. They took their time to help me while they were opening the pool.

We had issues with a different pool maintenance company and called Better Pool Management after the fact.  They were extremely helpful to us first time pool owners and gave us a free demo as well as literature on pool maintenance and trouble shooting.  They also called us later in the day to see how we were making out. We had not spent any money with them other than supplies and they looked after us with care.  I am embarassed to say that we used another contractor to open our pool when we should have used Better Pools.  We will be contacting them for our needs in the future. Thank you!

I called them. They alled back. Said better to wait until Spring to rehab my pool. They send me a contract/invoice indicating they would be out to make estimate "next year". Next year came ... they didn't.

The workers were very professional and completed the repair on the terms of the appraisal. Since then we have been using BPM to open and close our pool and could not be happier with their service. They are not the cheapest, but sometimes you get what you pay for!

John is a wonderful help! He educated me on all aspects of above-ground pools. He was very patient with all my questions, and when we switched in the middle to a different pool. He does not push unnecessary accessories to be bought, nor does he pester you with "follow-up" phone calls. The prices were competitive and the selection is varied! He always answers my phone calls, or returns them in a timely manner.

WE MADE ARRANGEMENTS TO HAVE HIM CLOSE THE POOL. HE WAS VERY PROMPT AND ANSWERED ALL MY QUESTIONS.

WE GOT A POOL INTO OUR BACKYARD BY BETTER POOL MANAGEMENT. THEY WERE VERY INTERESTED IN OUR VIEWS AS TO WHAT WE WANTED THE SHAPE TO BE. THEY WERE ON TIME & DIDN'T CAUSE TOO MUCH NOISE AT AN EARLY HOUR. WE HAVE RECEIVED NUMEROUS COMMENTS ON OUR POOL SINCE WE HAVE PUT IT IN.

STAFF WAS PROFESSIONAL, COURTEOUS AND EFFICIENT. THE POOL WAS CLOSED UP QUICKLY.
