Bellis Construction

In September 2007, Kevin Bellis completed work on our kitchen; at that time, some grout was cracking and chipping, and when I inquired as to why this was happening, Mr. Bellis replied that he didn't know the cause. Within the next year, the problem grew worse: the cracking and chipping areas were spreading. After months of calling him, Mr. Bellis fixed the grout, citing insufficient adhesive as the problem. Within months, it was evident that the problem was not fixed, for my grout problems persisted. Thus, I started calling him again. After he avoided my calls for months, I filed a BBB complaint. While Mr. Bellis never responded to me, he told the BBB that the problem was a sinking subflooring (news to me!) and that he would not fix the problem because the contract guaranteed his work for only one year (never stated in our contract!). To be fair, I am a perfectionist, but this matter is not about perfection: it is about completing quality work.
