My overall experience with Basement Gurus is amazing from start to finish. They were professional, responsive, and thorough. Price is the best among the three companies I quoted. Dan Kelly (owner) is personable. He doesn't try to sell you what you don't need. Also, a shout out to Carlos (head crew) and his crew. He was very attentive to detail. Left the work area clean after each day. (They were there for a total of 3 days). I had french drains installed in 2 areas of my basement, and 3 underground sump pumps and 1 above. They were also there to seal the outside of my home where water was coming into the basement. Carlos sealed off all the areas and prepped them where he needed to work. What can I say? I am a very satisfied customer. Oh, did I mention the lifetime warranty on the french drains. I highly recommend this company if you are looking for basement waterproofing services!!!!!! You won't be disappointed!!!!!!

Basement Gurus arrived to discuss our basement water issue. Dan patiently went over everything and listened to our concerns and answered our questions. He prepared a proposal to remove 4' of our patio and dig down to the foundation to waterproof the wall and fill the cracks from outside. He also suggested burying a downspout and pipe leading water away from the house and sealing the wall cracks on the inside basement wall. The team arrived as scheduled and worked incredibly hard for several hours a day. They were impressive in the system they followed and how much work they performed each day and were respectful of us and our property. By the end of the job everything was back in place. We wish the expense wasn't necessary, but felt the price was worth it due to the difficulty, the amount, and the quality of the work. We highly recommend Basement Gurus!!

I just want to express the great work, the professionalism and the expertise that Dylan and his crew delivered. Basement Gurus get 20+ stars from me. They were very informative from the beginning with the knowledge that Dan brought to the table when giving us the estimate. We just moved from NYC into our first home in Delaware and we experienced some water leaking into our finished basement. After searching on YouTube and knowing the do's and don't of waterproofing and sump pumps. I did my part in searching who in the area can do the best work and BASEMENT GURUS we're the obvious choice. They listened to what we wanted and made sure we got all that we needed. They were able to schedule me within a 2 week period and they offered financing which was perfect. On the day of construction I must say Dylan and his crew from Lancaster worked non stop and made a 2 day job into 1. They were very respectful and after all was completed Dylan gave me the walk through and informed me of all that was done. The before and after is incredible. I will definitely recommend this team to handle any work you need done to your house when it comes to waterproofing. Not only do the back up their work with a lifetime warranty but they also gave me a transferable warranty if I ever sell my home. There are definitely a 20*+ team. I bought a house in 2021 that had significant water damage leaking through the walls onto the concrete floor in the basement. After researching multiple companies around the area, I reached out to Basement Gurus. Ashley, Boni, Josh, and owner of the company Dan Kelly, all went above and beyond to make sure that there would be no more water damage. They installed a French drain, vapor barriers, and more. The owner Dan Kelly personally came out to make sure that the work got done correctly. This company is the best around, you won't be disappointed.

In January of this year, my wife and I decided we needed to transform our finished basement to an inhabitable living area. That would require adding a bathroom and an egress window for â emergency escapeâ . We hired a contractor for the bathroom and began the research on egress windows. As we were anxious to move ahead ASAP, I began contacting companies that installed egress windows. We had a couple of reps come out, look at our basement, discuss the process and quote prices. Estimates ranged from $8000 to $12000. Most had 2 things in common. 1} They could not schedule the job until somewhere in May or June as â windowsâ wouldnâ t be available until then. 2) Any â finishingâ work (necessary sheet rock and trim) would be extra as they did not do that. In March, I happened upon a copy of a regional advertising magazine (Clipper) which came in our mail. In it was an advertisement for â Basement Gurusâ . Since we still hadnâ t made a commitment for the work, I gave them a call. After discussing the job with them, I came to conclusion to go with â Basement Gurusâ . There were five reasons why I made this decision. 1) It appeared to me, based on reviews, the company had a good reputation. 2) The fact that they had windows in stock. This would move job completion date up significantly over what I had been told by at least three other companies. 3) The price. 4) Excavation would be done manually eliminating the possibility of damage to my neighborâ s lawn. 5) Sheetrock and finishing included. Our egress window project (install/follow up sheetrock/trim) was completed on time. Three workers came to our home for the install. They completed the window in three days. Very efficient, professional. Our township inspector came out a few days later and said â all looked goodâ . Also, John the sheetrock/trim person told me he had done a number of egress finishes. He said this one, as opposed to some heâ d seen, looked really good. The sheetrock and trim was completed in one day. An egress window is a big job. They make alterations to your homeâ s foundation! All in all, Basement Gurus did an awesome job! We now have a really nice â livableâ basement adding significant value to our home. Basement Gurus gets my full recommendation! After getting an estimate from another company, Basement Gurus offered us a much better system for a much lower price. We had a large and complicated job to do, and the crew finished it all beautifully. Since then, weâ ve had several tropical storms, and not a drop of water in the house.

Best quote that we got from three different companies. One other company wanted to do less for more money, but this was the best price for actually doing more than the other estimates. Scheduling the estimate and the job was frustrating, since things came up and dates and times needed to be pushed back multiple times. But the work is holding up well.

When we purchased our home a year and half ago, the crawl space in our home was in pretty bad shape. It was poorly insulated, was retaining higher humidity and full of debris from the previous owner. As the following year progressed, we started getting a little water from time to time due to heavy rains. During this time my wife and I realized it was time to do something about it. Last October 2021, I started getting quotes from various local basement contractors, Basement Guru's was one of them. When I called Basement Guru's, they responded quickly and were able to set up a consultation in a matter of days. Dan Kelly (Proprietor) came out to my home and conducted a vigorous evaluation of my crawlspace. While interacting with Dan, he took the time to really explain the situation in my crawlspace and together we created a plan of action that I felt comfortable with. Additionally, Dan was extremely competitive in his pricing when compared to other quotes. Within a couple of days, my wife and I agreed to the terms and went forward with Basement Guru's. Due to high demand, Dan's team started about a month later but they were swift and had the job done in only two days. I was extremely impressed with how fast Basement Guru's worked and attacked the project. In the end, we had all debris removed, a French Drain installed, Sum Pump, sprayed our floor joists with an anti-microbial, insulation installed between the floor joists, rebuilt a wall dividing a room, Regrouted, Parged foundation pillars, installed a vapor barrier and roughcasted my stone foundation walls. Additionally, we had a dehumidifier installed. As of February 2022, our crawlspace has been dry and maintaining good humidity levels. In the end, the only negative we had during the project was was a small clean up issue. After addressing this problem with Dan, he was quick to respond and compensated the clean up costs. I would highly recommend Basement Guru’s for all your basement and crawl space needs!

The French drains and sump pump install fixed my issues. I have peace of mind when it rains. This is a very professional company. The workers were all about business and very respectful.

I had significant mold problems in my basement, Dan and his crew installed a new French drain around the basement. We got 3 quotes from different companies. Basement Gurus was comparable in both value and price to the others but we ultimately chose BG because of the salesman, Philip, who made us feel safe and taken care of like family. He walked us through everything so we knew exactly what to expect. The staff that showed up were so kind. They did a great job and kept us informed throughout the process. They had an opening a week sooner than our scheduled date so was able to complete the project sooner than expected. They cleaned up everything afterwards so you couldn't even tell that concrete was hauled out and all the work that was put in. There have been several heavy rainfalls since the install and our basement is completely dry. Calling BG was the best decision.

We purchased our home in June 2021, and noticed a damp smell whenever it rained. Upon further inspection of our crawl space, we noticed a lot of damp spots and the sump pump was not effective.
