Barry was easy to communicate with and flexible when scheduling. Once he and his team arrived, it was a very relaxed process that made us feel very comfortable. They ended up fixing knicks and cracks in the walls we didn't even know about or ask for. The job took only 3 days and they handled our furniture and belongings with care. We hired Barry and crew for the plaster and repaint of our 2010 sqft apartment with 14’ high ceilings. The job itself entailed an incredible amount of detail work and time. Cost wise, although Barry’s quote was not the lowest, due to his many great online reviews, and our prior difficulties with contractors up to this point, we felt that the workmanship of his crew was worth the investment in our new home. We were not disappointed. To date, their plaster/drywall work is some of the cleanest and most precise we have ever seen. We found Barry himself to be both responsible and responsive, and most of all, the talented individuals he employs were an absolute joy to have in our home.

Barry and crew arrived always on schedule (quite often a bit earlier which is appreciated). There were a few times that his crew could not make it due to various reasons, but in the 3 weeks that the project took he always gave a several day heads up. In fact, they always worked around our schedule no matter how hectic it was and that was greatly appreciated. While the finished job was great, there were a few misses that we had to point out, but they quickly corrected the issue each and every time. The crew was clean, respectful, and quite easy to deal with.

Barry and his team were excellent. High attention to detail. I was very impressed at the prep and repair they did to the walls and trim; they certainly didn’t just show up and throw paint on the walls. Barry was the consummate professional: he responded to all my emails very quickly, and promptly addressed all my questions. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Barry again in the future for painting needs.

My review has been due. Due to minor roof leak there was minor damage to the 2nd bedroom ceiling that needed repair. Both bedrooms had previous repair work that due to the poor quality showed quite a bit. Barry and his crew were able to make both ceilings look like new while still maintaining the character of the plaster. 2 guys, 4 days. Roughly 14/16 hours a room. Detail is made present.

Quality of work was very good. Painted, resurfaced and partially renovated kitchen and stairway landing. Crew was friendly and hardworking, and their clean-up of the job afterwards was excellent.

Barry and his team are some of the best contractors I've worked with. From the start Barry was very responsive and helpful with any questions that I had. He was also happy to share input from all of his experience and talk about the best way to get the job done. Throughout the project, which I think took about 8 days total, Barry was at my house every morning to check in and make sure things were running smoothly. If we needed to change the plan at all or if a concern came up on either end Barry was very helpful in working out a solution that we were both comfortable with. Additionally, Barry's crew are very polite and dedicated workers who are definitely committed to producing quality work. They left my house looking amazing and I would definitely hire this team again.

Barry was totally responsive. Communication was excellent. The estimate of the somewhat complicated work (wallpaper removal/ceiling repair/intricate woodwork) was right on target and the work was performed perfectly. We were 100% satisfied. Even my husband, who is a very tough critic and prefers to do everything himself, was highly impressed by the work. The painters themselves were LOVELY and very concerned about keeping the house clean and the family happy during the process.

The job turned out beautifully. Barry Bush's team came in on time and painted the ceilings, walls, inside the closets and then stopped to allow me to have new floors installed and then came back to finish up the trim and touch up what the floor installers messed up. They did a fantastic job and I would hire them again in a heartbeat.

We had an great experience with Barry and would highly recommend! We had our whole ~1,900 sq ft house painted before moving in. He was super responsive (actually the only one of several painters I tried contacting that got back to me!) and easy to work with. Gave a thorough (and reasonable) estimate, was punctual, friendly and super efficient. We were getting our floors redone as well and he was very flexible in coming back to finish the trim after the floors were done. The paint itself looks awesome, they did a great job!

Very well. The cabinets were dark wood and shabby looking. Now they are white and with the detailed prep work done on them, they no longer look shabby. My kitchen is transformed! Barry and his team did an excellent job.

Barry and his crew did an amazing job. His turnaround time is impressive: he did a thorough walk through and provided an estimate within days of my initial contact. He was also willing to provide a competitive bid. He started the job earlier than expected and was extremely communicative throughout the process, even providing daily updates. This was the second time I used them and I have been pleased each time. Barry and his workers show up on time, do the work in the time frame estimated, and it looks great. They did an especially good job repairing cracks and bumps in the plaster walls of my old house.

What else can I say about Barry? Responsive, accommodating, fairly priced, flexible schedule, truly -- Barry made a rather big and difficult job easy. My home closing was delayed last minute by a week and Barry not only changed the starting and end date -- he delivered on time with no issues left unresolved. Oh yeah, I changed about half the project the day before he started and guess what? He simply said, "no worries, it will look great!" I firmly recommend to anyone they should trust and use Barry's painting services.

Barry and his team are fantastic. They understood our desire to undo the 1970s rehab on our 1920s rowhome and restore some of the original character. With painstaking attention to detail, Barry and co repaired some old woodwork, tore down 1970s-era radiator covers, constructed new built-in radiator covers, put up new drywall, skim coated old plaster, installed built-in bookshelves, repaired & painted the original stair risers & trim detail, installed new window trim and baseboards to match the original baseboards, and then painted the entire space. The result was transformative. After living for 4+ months in a demolition zone, it's a gift every day to come home to this finished space. The cost was fair for two weeks' work and comparable to other estimates. We went with Barry because he was the only one who proposed creative solutions for restoring an old home. Other contractors were bent on tearing out old to replace with new; Barry seems to enjoy the puzzle of mixing new with old for a clean, updated look that doesn't sacrifice character. Barry and co are returning soon to finish a smaller project on our second floor, and I'm sure we'll have them back again to help with the rest of the house. Barry is very communicative and professional, has a good aesthetic (I trusted him with most decisions and was pretty hands off throughout the process), and is overall a pleasure to work with. Same goes for his team-- really nice people, completely trustworthy and respectful, listen to great music. Felt more like having friends in the house than workers. Highly recommend.
