This matter was reported under the Home Depot company where I purchased the garage door. As I stated, Arrow installed the double garage door and an automatic garage door opener. The single man from Arrow who installed the door said he was disabling the lock so that a child wouldn't be able to accidentally engage the lock. The second time I engaged the remote, the door crumbled, effectively disabling and ruining the new door which somehow was locked. The installer won't answer my calls but seems to be saying to Home Depot that he didn't do anything wrong and is not responsible for the damage. I'm out nearly $1700. and have an inoperable, broken garage door. Maybe this is what I get for dealing with a large company that subcontracts its work and adds a layer of impersonal contact to a merchant-buyer relationship. I won't be dealing with Home Depot in the future even though I've given them over $30,000. in business in the last six months. I'm very frustrated, unhappy, and need to be able to open my garage.
