Our beloved wall clock, approximately 50 years old, would no longer wind up. Mr. Horn analyzed the problem and very carefully explained to my husband how to dismantle the clock and replace the ratchet which had deteriorated. He supplied us with a new ratchet, which otherwise would have required our ordering a part from Germany. He does not take on and quot;partialand quot; jobs any more, so would either have had to overhaul the entire clock, which would have cost an arm and a leg, or not do it at all.

Much to our delight, the guidance was excellent and the clock is now ticking and chiming perfectly. The display of clocks in the shop is fascinating - an added incentive to go there! Highly recommended!

He has a lot of clocks in his place. He's a jeweler but he's also a clock repair guy and watch. Obviously it's just a hobby. So somebody that loves clocks and watches will gonna take good care of them. I also got a watch band from him. One thing is that it's very hard to find somebody that has all kinds of cool color watch bands and he's the one who has it. So, it's nice to know that you could find a watch person that had cool colors.

I have using their services for well over ten years. Their services are great.

They are very good and very nice. They have a lot of beautiful clocks in there. He is there with his wife and it is a beautifully run store and it is a good kind of house. Every time I go to Wynnewood if I go in there she would ask me if I was there for new rings. She would takes it upstairs and clean it up for me and she doesn't charge me for it. She is very sweet. My husband used to go there and take his time there and he used to enjoy their service and company.

I have used Alexander Horn in the past for minor repairs on my grandfather clock and found him pleasant and timely. More recently, I found him less timely and typically had to call several times to get a call back. This past year he did a major overhaul for my $5000 clock at the cost of about $3000. Since then, the clock would stop frequently. He was very nice about coming to the house to adjust it, but his adjustments did not correct the problem. Eventually, I had Masso's fix it, at an additional cost of about $1300. They replaced the original verge, which Horn had smoothed instead, and they corrected some bushings, which had been replaced incorrectly, so that the axles did not line up properly. The clock now runs well. Reluctantly, I have concluded that my very convenient clock repair shop, Horn's, was overwhelmed and not up to the task of a major repair.
