Hardware & Home Improvement Stores
They have a good selection, they're helpful, and they're reasonably priced. For a center city hardware store, they have a tremendous selection in a relatively small place. They also offer advice, they lend out equipment, and they contribute to local community groups. They are all around good community members. The people who work there are always friendly and helpful, when you walk in the door they ask if they can help you with anything. They work with the local landlords, with the handymen, and with the home owners. Their return policy is also very good. It's a small place packed from floor to ceiling. It's kind of an old fashioned place.
