Initially, everything seemed to go fine. The price was great for the work we needed to have performed. Then we started to have issues with water intrusions. We assumed these intrusions were from other parts of our home because we had just had our roof replaced, we could not imagine our roof, only being a few years old, could be the source of an issue. We filed an insurance claim and started contacting any and all contractors that performed any work on that part of the home. To his credit, Jude was responsive at first. He offered to come out and meet with the other people to see who's work was responsible. The other guys actually came out though, and to their credit said they would simply redo their work to ensure that it wasn't their issue at no charge to me. Shortly after that, the water intrusion got worse and it was now apparent, from the lack of any roof repairs and the new damage that was caused that the water intrusion is indeed coming from the roof. Now that the issue is clearly a roofing problem, we have not been able to get in touch with Jude. I have called, texted, emailed, sent a certified letter, and even had the project manager call and text him. No response. This has been going on for two months with regular attempts to contact. I've had other roofers come out and look at the roof, and so far they all agree that he made a bad decision using the wrong product on this area of my roof which is close to being flat and that's the cause of my problem. At this point, I don't even want him to be the one to repair this damage. I don't trust that he would do a good job, and I've seen online and heard through the grapevine that he started working for a commercial roofing/siding company East Coast Siding Contractors, so he's not going to be very motivated to perform a quality repair to my roof. I have to find another roofer to come out and fix his poor workmanship and basically pay twice for my roof to be fixed. I would not recommend Sanger Remodeling to anyone else, in fact, my neighbor just asked who they should use to replace their roof and I had to say: "not the guy that did mine." So far, my experience has been that this company is exactly what Angie's List was created for, to help other people steer clear of bad business practices.
