They definitely have a system in place for doing this work. For us this system resulted in a very good experience, quality work, promptly done at a very fair and competitive price. Extremely friendly people, nice family every one.

They will paint a sample of a door for approoval before starting job. Some work is done in the home, and some in their shop. There are many color choices available as well as design advice. Nice family owned company who offer a much needed service. Much less expensive than refacing for those with a limited remodeling budget.

It went very well. They showed when the said they would and did the work on time and on budget. Lisa, John, and family were great to work with! My cabinets look 100x better, the changes really brought new life to my kitchen. Lisa did a very nice job of matching the cabinet and island colors to my granite counter tops. They were professional, friendly, punctual, and communicated very well.
I am thrilled, thrilled, thrilled with the work they did. I no longer have to replace my kitchen cabinets:)
I will say, that I think you have to go into this with realistic expectations. Your cabinets will look fantastic afterwards but they will not be new and if you want new pulls, hinges, and knobs then you need to get them. Lisa and John were very upfront about that. They delivered exactly what they promised. However, I also held up to my end of the bargain by making sure the old-style hinges I had were replaced with the right kind and that I had received them by the time their work started.
I've read too many reviews on Craigslist were the homeowners are unrealistic in their expectations. In this instance, I had to do a little work so that Lisa and John could make my cabinets look 100x better. My cabinets still have the same insides -- so my husband still has to fix the broken in-cabinet trash pullout:)

John, Lisa and the entire Grande Finale team were spectacular!  From initial consultation to completion, they were an absolute joy to work with.  Lisa provided color and finish suggestions beyond the cabinets for the wall color, cabinet pulls, counter top, back splash and flooring that brought the whole project to another level. During the refinishing process (that took 1 week and they finished a day early), the team left the house spotless each night and we were able to use the kitchen throughout the process. They also recommended a contact for countertops who provided great customer service because he knew that we were working with John & Lisa.  
During the process of reconnecting our sink, after the granite installation, the plumber did serious damage to our 3-day old, newly refinished cabinets.  I reached out to John for help, they came that day to assess the damage, and fixed the other contractors damage within the week.  I am so impressed with their customer service and attention to detail. I highly recommend Grande Finale without any reservations.  I wish I had more projects in my house for them to work on!  

It went terriffic!  We had 25 cabinet doors and 12 drawer fronts refinished.  Lisa and John arrived , promptly as scheduled, with several color samples based on our previous conversations.  We chose the one we wanted.  Lisa suggested some additional finishing touches, for which I am grateful. (crown molding, etc).   John measured precisely while Lisa and we talked about color/glaze.  Evan & John arrived to remove the cabinet doors/drawers and install the crown molding and toe kick.  As promised the  everything painted and was back in place within 5 days.  No job is too large or too small for them.
 

Grand Finale did a great job on our kitchen cabinets by installing some custom carpentry, installing new drawers, installing new kick plates, hardware, slow-close drawer hardware, and painting everything.  We had our kitchen cabinets painted a butter cream color and our center counter was painted a color called Bombay (cocoa brown).  It came out beautifully.  Better than we thought it would.  We also had them paint our vanities in all 3 of our bathrooms.  They were courteous and professional and communicated with us throughout the entire process.  We are very happy with the jobs they did.  We would recommend their work to anyone.

it was a pleasure to work with them from our initial in house consult to completion. Lisa and John arrived at my house for the consult totally prepared with samples and quickly helped me articulate my vision. Their added suggestions were much appreciated and put the cherry on the top of the finished product. They arrived as planned to remove  two cabinet doors to finish for color approval( butter cream and black for the island) We were very happy with the color so they arrived the following week to work in house. Their son's work with them and are an asset to Grande Finale. They were a pleasure to have working in my house. The job took a little longer do to the additional crown molding and the humidity for the drying paint. Not a problem because they were insistent that quality over speed was important. Having said that they put in extra long days to not be but a day or two over. we love our finished kitchen!

The experience with Grande Finale exceeded my expectations from start to finish.  Lisa has a great eye for color and really helped me with the vision for my kitchen cabinets, which took into account the color scheme throughout the rest of my home.  I couldn't be happier with the final result!  The job was quoted immediately and all deadlines were met.  They cleaned up after a day's work and everyone was pleasant to work with.  I would definitely recommend Grande Finale and plan to work with them again on another set of built-ins.  Their process is high-end and a much, much less expensive alternative to replacing cabinets.

Great job, Lisa had an idea for adding shelfs, looks great. After sanding cabinets, they did a great job cleaning up.Lisa and her family did a fantastic job. A much cheaper solution then buying new cabinets, they look brand new. Lisa also gave my wife some ideas for paint colors.

Organization after the company received our large payment was terrible and unprofessional. Workers would arrive at all hours and never on time. Morning visits were started at 3 in the afternoon and interupted our dinner with our little children well after normal business hours. Never once were we informed of these haphazard appointment changes or apologized for the disruption of our dinner at 5:30 PM and later. We always felt unimportant to Grand Finale Designs and their workers. We certainly were not their priority. Mr Barrett often said insulting comments and raised his voice. He seems to have a terrible temper and is not a very good communicator making us very uncomfortable having him or his staff in our home while making it extremely difficult to get a clear understanding of the plans for any part of our project. Now we can't return the special ordered hinges that they approved nor is our job done, yet GFD took our money. It is a true shame and not only unprofessional but certainly a crime to take money for something not provided. We are disheartened and incredibly disappointed. At least if the company would return at least a portion of our money, we could have someone help fix this mess they left. We have been completely ignored and with a job unfinished. :( The sad thing of all of this is that their samples of previous work allowed us to create an idea and vision to improve our home, and we were just incredibly let down without any improvement being made while taking a big step in the other direction.

My experience with them was very good.  They were very attentive to details.  Their communication was very good.  They followed up which everybody expect nowadays, they don?t get.  They did everything that they promised to do.  They were on time.  They cleaned up afterwards.  They were very professional and I highly recommend them.

Lisa and John and son Ethan are like family. They are top professionals and just great people. I would recommend them for any kitchen remodel. Before you even consider buying new cabinets talk to Lisa and get some ideas. You will get a truly unique kitchen and you will save a ton of money. People can not believe we painted our old builder grade oak cabinets. We are now planning to use Lisa and John again to help us paint some faux beams for a gas fireplace. We love working with them.

I have only positive things to say about Grande Finale.  Our contact began with a no pressure sales meeting with the husband and wife team that runs this family business.  They explained their refinishing process and offered some very helpful design suggestions.  A price quotation delivered by email quickly followed.  Work began right on schedule and was completed on time. All work was done professionally and in a clean and careful manner.  The workers were polite and a pleasure to have in my home.  I am very satisfied with the finished job.  I told the owners they are free to use me as a reference if they wish.

Lisa, John and Ethan Barrett were cheerful and professional in their interactions with me. The work they did for me turned out beautifully. They were very helpful in taking on several additional project elements once they were on site. I searched for several months for a contractor to sand, paint, and glaze my kitchen and bathroom cabinets. Lisa and John came with beautiful samples of their work; from the start, they seemed to understand what I was asking for. They just finished the project and it is beautiful. While on site, they agreed to do an additional fireplace and door. They proposed excellent improvements. I am really pleased with the changes to my condo. I would recommend Grande Finale, and use them again.

I was first considering kitchen cabinet refacing until I received 2 quotes from local companies. Yikes! Way over my budget. I was at a suburban home show and came upon John and Lisa's booth. After a brief discussion on what I was looking for and viewing the painted cabinet doors they had on hand I scheduled an appointment for them to visit my home. They did a walk thru in my kitchen. Again we discussed what I was looking for. Lisa's background in decorating was a tremendous asset in helping me select the right color for the cabinets/ drawers and new hardware.. John crunched the numbers while there and I was very pleased with the price. We scheduled work to begin 2 weeks later. I work every day so gave them a spare key to my home. They cleaned up every evening before leaving.  I thoroughly trusted these folks and was not disappointed. Work was completed ahead of schedule. I could not be happier with my new kitchen! I live in a condo building and already have 2 neighbors interested in talking with them too.

Grande Finale refinished our oak kitchen cabinets to be more modern.  They were very flexible in working around our busy schedules.  Lisa was also very good about trying different things out, showing us samples, and helping us to figure out exactly what we wanted.  It was clear she was very committed to making sure the end result was going to be something we were very happy with.
When they were in our home, they were very mindful of keeping things very clean.  The quality of the workmanship, and what we ended up with is excellent and I would have no reservations about hiring Grande Finale to do work again in the future.

The decorative wall finish in our home turned out to be above and beyond my expectations.  Lisa Barrett and her team (husband, John and son, Ethan) were very professional.  They took so much care to protect the ceiling, woodwork and floors before the job was even started, assuring the surrounding areas remained pristine.   
    My husband and I are very particular and not easily pleased when it comes to any work done in our home.  Lisa changed that for us because she is just as particular about what she does and makes sure the final outcome is just what you want.  She is a master of her craft.
     Over the years I had been somewhat apprehensive about having large groups of people over because the walls scuffed so easliy and needed repainting.  Previously, the old walls were painted with a flat paint that could not take any touch ups.  My walls now have a durable, soft, old-world style texture and sheen.  I am already planning a family gathering.   If you are fortunate enough to have Lisa perform her magic for you, then thank your lucky stars.

Lisa was referred from Sherwin Williams. She has painted my home on 3 separate occasions (2009, 2012 and 2013). She is always on time, has great suggestions and does fabulous work!

Finished product was fantastic. Furniture blends beautifully with other pieces. It was no easy feat getting furniture in and out of house. We just love walking in and out of the rooms and looking at the bold colors. Hope to have other work done in the future.

Prior to contracting Lisa and John from Grande Finale, we had installed new granite, stone tile back plash and tile our kitchen floor but did not change our old oak cabinets. All of the money we spent doing all that work could not be appreciated because of our old oak cabinets. Although our cabinets are old, they are in good condition and we could not justify spending money on new ones. The cabinets were just old looking because of the oak. We heard about Lisa and John from one our neighbors. From the moment that we met Lisa and John during the estimate stage, we knew that they were dependable, honest, and experts in their field. They were prompt, which is very important to us, and they finished the job on time. At first we were skeptical about painting our cabinets, so we tried the vanities in two of our bathrooms and the hand rail on our stairs. After that work was done, we were so pleased that we gave them the go ahead to do our kitchen. All throughout the transformation, Lisa and John exceeded our expectation on their dependability, honesty and expertise. They cleaned each day after they were done as if no one was working in the kitchen. After the transformation, our kitchen now looks awesome!!! We are so greatful for Lisa and John.
