Mr. Giberson, met me to inspect the house and issues I had. Supervised the repairs listed above, was very accurate on pricing, very available to me and answered questions, promised and completed work in a very timely manner.

Easy to work with and communicate. Family operation with 2 sons perform most of the work, with supervision and some work by father. Sometimes an additional worker brought in for simple/tedious/time-consuming work. I liked that they avoided subcontractors as much as possible - the only one used was for the granite countertop cutting and final installation. They know what they are doing and did thorough work, such as excavating and reinforcing foundation for the columns supporting the loft. Trustworthy and easy to get things changed or details corrected. Unanticipated work not included in bid was performed at a reduced labor rate. Work started Thanksgiving week 2007. Most work completed by end of January. All details wrapped up by early March 2008. Completion took about double the estimate due to changes on my part, but also because of insufficient quantity of materials ordered from flooring vendors. Weekly progress payments made. Also, I had them agree to 10% of payment withheld at completion for 10 days and/or until all details/problems/fixes taken care of to my satisfaction. As with most contractors, it is important to monitor their work so that errors can be avoided and changes or corrections made right away. We had a few corrections on the steel gate and the sprinkler system, the electrical switches, and faucet water flow, which were all taken care of without much difficulty. After final payment, I called to have them fix a problem in the sub-floor of the loft; it was taken care of in one week, no cost. Giberson warranties their work for one year.
