JP Construction

We contracted with this company to build our "Dream Home". It was ten years in the making. We obtained financing and immediately something was not correct. He advised that he needed a little time to finish up a small prior job. Keep in mind first draw ($30K) was advance to him. Four weeks later he shows up to start the driveway construction and dig the foundation...with a 50 year old piece of equipment that broke down on the second day. Another two week delay! Begins construction for two weeks, almost ready to pour footer....three weeks of rain and another month delay! Finally get construction going again, contractor has few workers on project and he disappears for the next six weeks, working on another job. You get the picture, unreliable, incapable, and over his head with the project. Well behind schedule. To make a long story short, the contractor was in over his head, under capitalized, shoddy workmanship, didn't build the home per blue prints and specifications, illegally converted proceeds, and left us holding the bag to finish home! Individual cold have been litigated but told me point blank he would fold up his LLC., and I would never collect. Why throw remaining good money after bad to collect after consultation with several attorney's. Our experience was on of our worst in life!!!!
