They're the closest vet and they were referred to us and they're really good.  I have 4 dogs and they have been going there for the past 30 + years for checkups and shots and anything that they need.

The astronomical price they charged for euthanasia completely wiped out whatever good feelings we may have had for this place. Mt. Bethel Animal Hospital charges $59.00, The Village Veterinarian charges $80.00, Dr. Leck charges $95.00 which includes the visit. AVH Charged $159.00 for the euthanasia, PLUS they charge extra for the initial sedative (25.00) and $58.00 for the visit. The charges were so surprising and out of the norm that my sister submitted complaints to the PA Div of Consumer Affairs and the PA Veterinary Licensing Board.
Dr. Dymonds service to my sister was very good. She was supportive and calming and completed the service with compassion. Kay had been going downhill for about two weeks and Dr. Dymond had already seen her. In response to my sisters complaint, they referenced that they saw Kay that day as an emergency and that the service they provided was extensive. Truth be told, regardless of how much time they spent with my sister, myself, and Kay, they would have charged the same. Furthermore, the other vets I highlighted above also were emergencies and they delivered the same compassionate thorough service for the amounts expressed.
Euthanasia is the end of life. There is no further diagnosis, no expertise in administering a $10.00 solution. AVH's fee is outrageous and unconscionable. Their services do not warrant the amount of money they charge.

Went to vet to have only the required shots administered and an examination, but ended up getting more than needed or required.  All were very nice, but entire time there could simply see the dollar signs mounting up as they kept doing and offering more and more things not pertinent to our pet, who is an inside animal and not exposed to most of the tests and procedures recommended.  The biggest pressure was to join their pet wellness program at a cost of $1200 dollars a year which we could pay on a monthly basis.  The second biggest push was for a dental cleaning, the cost of which was excessive in my opinion since another vet service was less than half of what they wanted.  All in all it was a decent place, but had that feeling of corporate efficiency and processing.  They are part of a large corporation of vet clinics and thus the reason for the corporate efficiency in processing "patients."

They are excellent. All of them are fantastic. I've had them for 35 years. They're very accommodating. Their personality is fantastic and they really care about the animals. I can afford the price anytime i go.

After the "shrug off" we received from AVH we took the cat to Stroudsburg Animal Hospital for treatment. I think AVH needs to change their name from a "hospital" to AV$$$ to better inform the public of it practice and care it provides.

AVH Veterinary Group LLC is fairly overpriced, but you pay for the service. The doctors have been there for 45 plus years and they have seen everything. They have a top notch facility.

I was pleased with everything. The appointment went on time, the doctor listened to my concerns and asked questions. She showed a genuine interest in Fannie. She made recommendations and I'm glad I followed her advice about the glucosamine. I was very impressed with Dr. Dymond.

Referred to me as a "backyard breeder" after one accidental litter. Quoted one price for neuter and dew claw removal then called me while my dog was under anesthesia and said because they hadn't factored in my dogs weight (their job) it would be an additional $200. ($800bucks for a neuter and dew claw??) Then on my itemized bill I was charged $30 for a $1 dollar vial of morphine which is a 3000% percent mark-up!!??? I have since taken my business to East Stroudsburg Veterinary Hospital which I have found to be superb.

I have been taking my pets to this clinic for the last 20 years. I do not currently have pets, but in my past experiences, the doctor went out of his way to provide a great service. He came in on a Sunday, helped us when my son's dog was in trouble and put him to sleep.
