They gave me an estimate on the first call-it wasen`t the lowest but they seemed to know their business and they were very professional. The job was completed in a few days. They always showed up on time and cleaned up after they were done.I will also say unknown to me it was the beginning of trout season and they still came and did the job-I have found that if it is the beginning of any sport season in Pennsylvania it`s iffy getting a contractor to even return a call.

He was very fair as far as the pricing goes. He is very accommodating and easy to work with. He is going to be replacing my front porch roof shortly and I am waiting for him to give me an estimate.

In a few words - exceeded my expectations. If there were a rating above A, it should be given to Mr. Campbell.

The experience was excellent. It only took a few phone calls to coordinate activities and two visits by Todd (one for the estimate and one to complete the work) to achieve a successful outcome. The roof no longer leaks. Todd is knowledgeable, skilled, focused on his work, and pleasant and easy to work with. He did what he said he would do. I recommend Campbell Construction without reservation. I've already arranged for their help on several additional tasks.

After a few hours of operation, I was starting to notice a smell that ended up being the factory burn-off that was temporary. But I was also noticing that there was a noticeable cool air movement coming back into the room from outside. So I checked with Mr. Icker (FP retailer); he had actually sent a wrong vent part for my situation. He had to order the correct part, so I shut off the unit for about a week until that part came in. Todd went and picked it up, had to disassemble most everything, put the correct part into the wall venting position, caulked and sealed up everything again, and for the rest of the winter, I enjoyed my new fireplace! It helped supplement my electric baseboard heat quite nicely; I could really tell that the gas FP heat would travel thru the house. I saved quite a bit on my electric bill this winter and the cost of the gas was not much at all. Todd (of course) was very cooperative and happy to make sure everything was operating safely and properly.

First huge project was to remove a raised "parapet" type structure on my roof's ridgeline that was built up to support and house a double skylight. Look at the top of any "Pizza Hut" building; I'm trying to describe a smaller version of that! The skylight (altho slightly tinted) was basically a hot-air tunnel in the summer and a cold-air tunnel in the winter! It made my house extremely expensive to cool in the summer and heat in the winter (the exact OPPOSITE of eco-friendly)! After discussing several options of tackling this problem, Todd and assistants removed the skylights and disassembled the entire parapet structure. They then patched in replacement sheathing and shingles and installed caps for a water-tight seal. I have a double hip-style roof; they basically lowered the roofline and repaired it to match the other one. Then from the inside he installed a maximum R-38 insulation in the attic space, removed two light fixtures, reframed and lowered the ceiling with replacement drywall; then he spackled, primed and painted the interior new ceiling. I was able to realize immediate savings on my cooling/electricity bill and have continued to save on heating costs over the winter! Throughout this whole project, we had to reassess this or that aspect (such as how low to drop the ceiling in this area). Todd just guided me thru the pro's and con's of each minor decision and we ended up with a very happy solution to a very big problem!

When I called and left a message on Mr. Campbell's answering machine, he returned my call the same day. He came the next day, a Saturday, to look at the job. He was back to me within a few days with an estimate, which I accepted. He came to do the work within several days after that, which was as soon as the weather conditions permitted. When he arrived I pointed out that part of a shingle had been blown off and asked if he could repair that too with a shingle I provided. He agreed to that with no problem. He attended to the job in a professional and able manner and ended up charging me $100.00 less than the original estimate. He said the job was not as difficult as he originally thought and did not take as long to complete.
