Amazing service and very nice guys. Matched the cedar shake to the opposite side of my house perfectly. Worked through the light rain we got and the solar eclipse! I hired an exterior house painter (not affiliated with Eric and Able Hands in any way) who gouged me on the price and had me thinking that he would replace the shingles before he started painting. That was not so. In order for him to proceed and finish the job I needed the cedar shake replaced ASAP. Eric and his crew saved the day for sure. They were quick to come and give me an estimate (which was very reasonable in comparison to two other estimates I received) and were very communicative if they couldn't make it when the rain pushed their schedule back by a few days. They got the work done in a timely fashion and did a fantastic job that I'm sure will last a long time. I only wish I had known about them sooner. Thanks again!!

Eric and Matt were simply fantastic. Arrived promptly, highly competent and professional.  They took pride in their work and cleaned up after themselves. We finally found a handyman company that can provides a wide variety of quality services.  Their prices were much more economical then several other area contractors.  The estimate was accurate and was  provided before the work was scheduled. They did not try to gouge prices are talk you into  unnecessary repairs.
Please be patient when you try to contact them.  I spoke with Eric directly and the overall communication was effective.  They are family run business and are very busy. It may take more than 24 hours before they return your call, but they are worth the wait!

We had a great experience with Eric and his team. I contacted him on a Saturday. He arrived at my home on Monday and I had an estimate on Tuesday. I had contacted two other contractors I found on AL and ultimately choose to go with Able Hands. I like what Eric had to say in terms of his plan for executing on what I needed done and was comfortable with the price. Looking at my list or repairs, it may seem that this was a simple job. I can assure you it was not. The simple list of repairs doesn't tell the whole story. The sills on the sun porches are 3 windows wide. They had been damaged by years of neglect from a large pine tree that caused a gutter overflow (previous owner). The railings were a few inches from where the should have been due to settling. My home is 100+ years old to give you an idea of what we were dealing with. Eric booked a whole week to work on my home. He arrived when he said he would, and he finished on time. He and his team are polite, considerate and work hard. They do a great job. They took their time, paid attention and didn't rush anything. What impressed me most was the fact that they all really thought about the work they were doing.  Eric made custom supports for the railings on my 100+ year old home that looked like they have been there since it was build. He came to us with an idea for the the color scheme on the exterior trim of our home and we loved it. It really makes the work pop and added a nice touch. Small details on the home were painted even though we hadn't explicitly discussed it and it made a big difference.  The job site was cleaned up and closed up every day (especially important with small kids at home). His price never changed. My wife and I are very happy with the project as a whole and will be using Eric and his team in the future. I highly recommend Able Hands, Inc.

I couldn't wait to finally sit down and write about my experience with Able Hands Inc. I own a little chalet tucked away in the poconos. This little chalet is my castle. Over the years I have done the very best I could to maintain my home - but with the horrible rain and wind storms we experienced in the recent past - damage was done . The arduous task of contacting and interviewing contractors was about to begin . Getting estimates and finding if personalities were going match wasn't always pleasant and yes making sure that the personalities of the people that are going to work in your home when you aren't there matters a great deal . I say this because it's important that you find contractors that not only do impeccable work but are also approachable and make themselves available if you the home owner have any concerns or worries. This search is not always easy but I struck gold when Able Hands Inc. came to my door . Tim , Eric and Mat were professional, personable and reasonable . They took a lot of time explaining the process , what they were going to do, basically explained how they were going to make the repairs and how long this process would take. They were right on the money with all that they projected . They took my calls or promptly called me back to answer my concerns or requests. They went above and beyond in their repairs and made sure that it wasn't only to my liking but because they are perfectionists, they made sure that they were happy with the way everything turned out as well. I would highly recommend Able Hands Inc. , they did excellent work and wouldn't hesitate to call them again when needed. A job well done - thank you guys!

We originally planned to have Home Depot do the installation. I decided to get a bid from these guys who came in a couple hundred lower. As the project got rolling I realized far more important than the price was the quality I was getting. Unlike Home Depot's plan, Able Hands laid the flooring with a minimum number of transitions so the flooring flows well between rooms and into closets, etc. They very carefully cut down all 8 doors and rehung them (which Home D would have charged extra for.). They moved all the appliances, including the dishwasher to get the flooring down, again H D would have charged extra. They are just extremely conscientious and detail oriented in their workmanship. They actually care about the quality of the end result.

Apart from their technical skills they are also great to work with on a personal level. They really listen and try to accommodate. They're punctual (for the most part) and work very clean, vacuuming and tidying when they're done. (They even brought the garbage bins around.)

In addition to the floors, they've also done various other small jobs: light fixtures, toilets, faucet, garbage disposal, appliance installation. they've brought the same attention to detail to each job and we'll definitely use them again.

We were unsure if we wanted to add on to the deck or just put on steps. After careful evaluation, it was determined that it would be most beneficial to make repairs to the current deck due to the condition of the old deck. We didn?t realize how unstable the original deck was. Also, we decided to add a gate right before construction began and the guys were more than willing to work with us. Before, during, and after construction, the guys kept us informed of what they were doing. We have recommended them to other people and will be using them again!

Overall, it went well.  Eric and his crew seemed pretty knowlegeable about everything and did very good work.  They weren't able to isolate the leak with the jacuzzi at the time.  There's more to it than we expected.  It's something which would require another day, more work, and a few more dollars to fix.

Eric did an EXCELLENT job of painting and repairing the exterior of my home.  The job entailed more than he had planned, but he stuck with it to the finish - never missing a day..The house looks great, thanks to Eric.

The estimate and the work were done on the date and time promised.They had great ideas for changes to the room and practical help on saving money. It turned out even better than I anticipated. This room was a challenge in my 100 year plus home. Both Eric and Tim are professional and it was a pleasure to have them in our home. I already have another project lined up for them.

eric came promptly when i  called him and told him our sky light was leaking. he replaced it the next day and  had to replace some of the plywood around it. put on new shingles were necessary and power washed our roof. he was  courteous,very neat and cleaned up all the leftovers. he is fussy in doing his job and i  would recommend him to anyone.
