We had a deck put on our townhouse recently. It was inexpensive/reasonable; not "cheap." We had a quote from another builder that was significantly less, but we felt EP Hannum seemed reputable considering previous reviews and their portfolio of completed deck jobs. For the extra $800 I decided to go with this more reputable builder. It took a little longer than we initially thought (mainly due to waiting on the township for their inspections) but it was so worth it!

May 30th 2018 My wife and I were looking to hire a contractor to remodel our master bathroom shower stall which was a builder installed (2003) unattractive fiberglass one piece unit. We wanted the stall wall tiled all the way up (eight feet) and also the floor was to be tiled. We were looking for a contractor to do it within a month at a reasonable cost. I am familiar with building projects having built out two basements and a deck along with a host of other projects but I have not done much tile work except for tiling a kitchen backsplash. After interviewing four contractors, Chip Hannum of E P Hannum Building was very straight forward with a suitable timeframe and was spot on in his estimate which was comparable to mine. The first day of the job, Chip and his son showed up right at the time he told us he would and went right to work. Being dirt conscious, we do not wear shoes in our house. We also have off white carpeting in the second level where the master bath is located. Chip bent over backwards not only wearing booties but also laying down tarps in the front door entry way and on the upstairs carpet as well as laying cardboard down on the tiled bathroom floor durng the duration of the project. The demolition of the shower stall was extremely fast with excellent clean-up. Once the project commenced, Chip worked dilegently not even stopping for lunch (although my wife and I did manage to get him to stop briefly and eat lunch a few times!). At one point during the project, there was a design change and Chip had no problem incorporating the new design without skipping a beat. He exhibited a professional manner at all times along with a strong work ethic. The project was almost complete in the six day timeframe as promised by Chip except for a delay waiting for a Ventian oil rubbed bronze frameless door that wasn't in stock which set us back two weeks. Chip came back and put on the door with no problems. A water valve issue brought Chip back again two days and as usual Chip was extremely accomodating. Chip even brought his own furniture polish and polished our vanity after he was finished! We wholeheartedly recommend Chip for any home remodeling project. Chip was the consummate professional. He always arrived on time, maintained ongoing communication, and did an overall great job on a bathroom remodel. He was willing to work within our limited budget, but still went above and beyond on little details and extras. I was amazed by all of his hard work. Best of all, our new bathroom looks beautiful!

He is very detailed oriented, and respectful of your property. I love his work. He is a man of his word, arriving on time. He also did an excellent job putting up crown molding. I would recommend him highly. I have hired him to do other projects for me.

My project, a Stamped Concrete Patio with an elevated Composite Deck built by E.P. Hannum is complete and I am totally 100% satisfied with the finished propduct and how Chip Hannum and his crew handles the construction - the planned and sometimes unplanned situations were always addressed in a professional, client-oriented way.

He was here on time, did a GREAT job - can't even tell there was a hole there. He cleaned up when he was done and the price is what he quoted - no extra or added charges. Would definitley hire him again!
