We have a beautiful Australian Labradoodle and are fortunate to have worked with Mike of StayDog. The installation of our Invisible Fence was high-quality as was the support regarding training. Subsequently, after our landscaper accidentally cut our Invisible Fence's wire, Mike took the time and effort to splice and then protect the wire against future cuts. StayDog is extremely well-equipped and highly professional in meeting your dog's or dogs' needs. John Hanhausen, with help from Mike, definitely runs a superb ship.

A little background: We have a 5 month old JRT and although we have over an acre of property none of its fenced so every time we needed to take him out it we had to do so on a leash which gets old. We were accustomed to having a fenced back yard at our last house. We are not professional dog trainers and anyone that has every had a JRT knows that they can be very stubborn and very very high energy so we decided to look at fencing options. We received what we feel is a competitive quote from Deb at Staydog. After we weighed our choices (Solid above ground fence vs. Invisible Fence) we decided to go with Invisible Fence based on the following things, the price was much more appealing and we felt that we could create a bigger area for our Pup to run using that system. We were a little leary because we get herds of Deer, Rabbits, Ground Hogs and lots of squirrels etc. in our yard and we were/are concerned that he might bolt out if he saw them. That aside we decided to have an Invisible Fence installed. The install was quick and fairly painless. Mike the installer answered all my questions and made short order of the install. At the conclusion of the install Mike showed us the basic initial training that we needed to complete. The next Monday the trainer Jennifer came out to start our 1st real training session. She spent about 45 minutes with us on the first session, showing us how to walk the fence. Jennifer came out again the next Friday to complete the outside as well as the inside training. Jennifer was a great trainer and asnwered all of our questions. About two weeks after the initial install I noticed that the unit that was mounted in the basement was displaying a red light which did not seem right. After reading the manual and deciding that it should not be red I submitted a service request via the Staydog website. Robin contacted me that same morning and arranged for a service visit the next day. Mike the Service Tech. arrived on the appointed date and time and within a few minutes replaced the base unit. The base unit now seems to be working as the manual says it should. On the how the actual system is working for us..... I am very pleased with how the system works. Our Pup knows when the collar starts beeping to turn and head the other way. We are only two weeks in but our Pup is responding well to the system and although I'm more confident in the system then my Wife this soon, I will occasionally let him out in the yard by himself with me watching from the Patio door. I feel confident because he has not bolted out of the yard at all in all of the times that I am out with him multiple times during the day. I have spent a lot of time walking the fence area and he is learning his area very quick. We still have all of the marker flags up but I think he inherently knows his boundaries. It feels great allowing him to have about 1/2 an acre to roam. The Boundary Plus system we have is nice because he can get right up to the wire before it starts beeping which is really nice. Now the challenge is getting him to come in when called. He has encountered the Deer herds a couple times and has chased them out of the yard but has never crossed his fence and thankfully has not barked early in the morning when the Deer tend to lay in our yard. I think this system is really working well for us because we have a Puppy who does not have bad learned habits. All in all we are very happy with the system and Staydog. I recommend them both now.

Jessica DePaul is absolutely wonderful.  She explained everything that was going to happen.  She came back and help train us and our dog on how to use the fence and then came back with her dog to test our dog to see if she would be distracted.  She is professional and great to work with.

The process went well from start to finish. All the representatives of the company, from the salesperson, to the office person, the manager who visited the site during installation, the installer, and the 2 different trainers, know the product well and are good at answering questions. Our goal was to have our 2 dogs excluded from 4 specific and unconnected garden areas of our yard. We are happy with the Invisible Fence by StayDog.

The representative from Stay Dog was very nice and very professional. She explained the process to me in full detail and offered me 5 different price ranges and levels of service. I was very impressed with her and with the fair prices. I even got an and quot;adopted pet discountand quot;!

It was very good. They did what they said they were going to do. This is the second invisible fence I have had put in by different people but the experience was fine.

My overall experience with them went very well and was excellent. I dealt with another invisible fence company and they treated me very poorly and nonprofessional. I decided not to use them and went with this company who had the same item and who I thought were very professional. It's a good value and my dog doesn't run away.

I called for an estimate and a very nice woman came over to my house within just a couple of days. She thoroughly described all the options available for the underground fencing and I chose one that fit my property. The fencing covers about an acre of my land. Installation was good and we diligently walked our puppy around the puppy for a week as instructed. The only issue we had was that when we finally took the puppy across the line (to get that intial experience with the collar - a much more stressful situation for me than for my dog), the collar did not work. I had to call several times and finally had to drive over to the store with the collar. Turns out the electrical box was set to indoors instead of outdoors and that was the fix. I was annoyed at the time but since then, I have had several instances to call and in all cases, I have had prompt and wonderful service. I purchased an indoor unit about 6 months ago and it works great! I also signed on for automatic battery delivery.

I was given a quote that was lower than expected and the installation occurred the following week. The guy who did the installation showed me how to train the dogs to the flags/boundary in the front yard and then the trainer came 4 days later to work with the dogs and me in the back. I was a little worried that two of the dogs are extremely sensitive and were hesitant to come off the deck in the back but after a few days they were perfectly comfortable in the back yard. The people at staydog were very responsive to all my questions and follow up emails (to adjust the collars a little). I highly recommend them and would use them again

I have to admit in the spirit of all honesty that my dog has allowed herself to get shocked because she is so determined to leave the yard. It doesn't work for all dogs -- some refuse to be contained, even by electricity! I am looking to install a cyclone fence dog run, but will keep the electric fence in, as well.

They have a great product and we enjoyed working with the woman who came out for the bid. We chose to go with another company, but would recommend Stay Dog.

I am getting 3 old rescue dogs shortly. I have a backyard and a frontyard. I had the fence installed but we weren't sure if we would like it or if it would work, so we didn't have them bury it until we tried it. It kept getting cut everytime we would cut the weeds. Now that we have the new dogs coming, we had them come out and fix it so we can train them with it. They moved the wire up and buried it. They placed flags all around the wire so you could tell where it is. They did a nice job planting the flags around so I could tell where it is. When the dog comes up to a foot from the fence it will get zapped. He took me all around and showed me where he was going to put it. He explained everything, and even made a few suggestions. He suggested that I place the fence where I could also see the dogs. They were very helpful. They charge you a fee to come out, and then they charge you by the foot. The price was very reasonable. They were here on time, and very responsive.

DID A GOOD JOB WITHOUT MESSING UP OUR RECENT PLANTINGS WHICH ARE WHAT CAUSED THE PROBLEM IN THE FIRST PLACE. HAD A SPARE BATTERY WHICH HE LEFT IN THE MAILBOX SINCE I HAD TOLD HIM I WAS ON A CONFERENCE CALL. I APPRECIATED THAT.
