Not well while looking for the pipes during the survey the person crack our underground sprinkler and never mentioned it to us. I called with pictures and proof of what happen and spoke to a person named Barb who said she was sorry and that they were not responsible because it was for a house inspection. I told her that this was not an inspection and she greed to address the situation. she never did now I own repairing their mistake.

I helped my elderly father with a septic system installation at his home and used the Angie’s List reviews of Gray Brothers to help us select them for the project. The total project cost excluding permits was in excess of $35,000. Dan Spracklin, the Gray Brothers CEO, told me prior to starting the work that the at- grade system would have a “little hump” and be 2 feet above grade level. Upon completion, the hump was certainly not little and was more than 2 ft above grade. After the project was complete, I contacted Dan in order to express concerns we had with the project. For several weeks Dan avoided talking to me or returning my calls. My trouble began when I finally was able to speak with Dan. I found Dan’s manner and tone during the telephone conversation to be patronizing, arrogant, inflexible and rude. I asked Dan if extra soil could be added to improve the grading and have the hump not be so pronounced. He said absolutely not, unless I wanted to wait until he had an opening 3 months later in December and pay thousands of dollars. He recommended that I instead contact a landscaper and have them re-grade it. He said his job was not to make something look pretty. I don’t need it to look “pretty”, but I would like it to be as he initially described that it would be and not to be an eyesore. I felt that for a cost of $35,000, he would be able to work with us on the grading, at least a little. Dan told me the top end of the hump was 2 feet above grade. I have looked at it several times since that statement and it is definitely more than 2’ above grade at the top end. I asked him if he would meet me at my father’s house, so I could better describe my concerns, and he could better explain his position. He said no, he would not meet me there, as he had already been there. I would not recommend Gray Brothers.

Provider arrived on time and was very polite. He got to work right away and completed the job quickly and cleanly. I would definitely recommend Gray Brothers if you have a septic tank that needs attention.

Professional, timely and courteous, explained the process and even inquired if any dogs could get to the work area. Apparently dogs like to find where the hose has gone through the grass (don't ask).

I have used this company in the past many times over a 8 year period. They are been consistent in offering high quality service. They have been professional and responsive. Their crew are also polite and I have never had any issues with their staff, the office, or the quality of service they provide. My only negative is that if you need addition items, such as, in my case a cover for the septic as the old one was rusted out. Their prices are extremely high and my advice would be to shop around first.

Everything went well, I called on a Saterday kend and they did not have a mechanic on call. They pumped the tanls during the interim and the mechanic came on Wednesday. I have used them since 2001.

I wasn't happy at all with them. The cover on the tank is plastic and has screws and instead of screwing it back in they hammered it in with the hammer. They messed something up with the result that we had sewer gas inside the house for quite a while and the sewer odor in the house is a serious problem. This was during the winter so when they came up, they said they couldn't do anything about it because it was winter and by the time spring came the situation resolved itself. They never followed up or anything so I have to find somebody else next time. I don't think I would use them again. It was just before the thanksgiving because we were expecting a house full of people.

They do wonderful work, despite the type of work it is.
