Clockworks

The work was done accurately and on time. The owner was very helpful in explained how to hang the clock, adjust the time and maintain accurate time. He made sure I understood the procedures before I left. Would recommend to others.

Clockworks made a house call and spent a great deal of time cleaning & re-setting but unfortunately, they could not get it to chime again. This was our fault for not keeping the gears oiled, etc. They tried their best. They offered to take the "innards" of the clock back with them for further work, however at the moment, I just can't afford any more repairs.

Wonderful people to work with. I am now having them exclusively take care of my inherited Grandfather clock.

The work was provided by a husband and wife team who came onsite on a weekend.  They maintain a shop for customers to bring clocks, watches, etc., but were willing to make a house call on a weekend after shop hours.  They responded to our request promptly.They confirmed the appoinrment time prior and showed up at our house exactly on time. 

They were very professional and courteous.   Quickly repaired the clock and set it back up so that it would work after being in storage for two years.  Clock is keeping excellent time now. Offered advice on how to best care for and maintain the clock.

Will continue to use for any clock watch repairs.

It is just a pleasure to go here! No worrying about battery types or fidgeting to get the back off and in etc. They do it all so effortlessly and for not much more than the battery itself.

Wonderful. We dropped the clock off, they fixed it, we picked it up. They're great at explanations and what to expect.

They were great. They suggested a lower cost repair than I came in thinking I needed. I thought that was very fair. They were very patient in explaining how to keep it running.

When I took my damaged clock to the shop, they looked it over with me and asked some questions to fully assess the damage. They informed me of the approximate age and origin of the clock, which I had not known previously (and was pleasantly surprised by!). The repairs were done within three days even though they estimated that it might take a week (and I thought a week would have been fast!). The repair work was done very well and the price seemed very reasonable to me. I am quite happy with the results. When I picked up the clock, they gave me advice about hanging it to ensure that it operates at its best and won't fall again. They were very friendly and seemed to genuinely care about my clock.

My grandmom's clock had not worked in years and I was ready to hang it
on our freshly painted wall. When I removed it from our crawlspace, I
realized it had no bevel on the face of the clock (the piece of convex
glass that covers the face is the bevel). I don't know anything about
clocks, so when I arrived at the store, I assumed they had bevels of all
shapes and sizes. The owner asked where it was and I said, and quot;I don't
know. Do you have one?and quot; He laughed but then looked on the floor at a
pile of bevels he had collected over the years. He picked one up,
placed it on the clock and unbelievably, it fit my grandmom's clock! It
was fate! I was supposed to come to this store. Apparently, that
bevel had been sitting there for years, just waiting for me! I needed
the quartz replaced (it used to be a wind up clock but somewhere along
the way it had been changed to a clock with a battery), too. The owner
gave me the option of standard quartz or slightly better one. Since
they both worked the same, I chose the standard quartz. Most of the
money I spent on this clock repair was on the bevel and the labor
involved to weld it onto the clock and make it an exactly perfect fit. I
arrived in the morning on a Thursday and it was finished by that
afternoon. I picked it up Friday morning. I had my 21 month old
daughter with me and it was raining buckets. The owner was so nice, he
carried the clock to my car in the pouring rain. I would definitely
recommend Clockworks to anyone. The people are nice, they quality of
the work is excellent and I felt they took good care of my 60+ year old
clock. I have nothing to compare the price to, as I have never had a
clock repaired before, but from what I have read about other clock
shops, the price I received was comparable to others.

They were able to schedule me very quickly and came tio my home on a Saturday morning (I live only about 2-3 miles from their shop). They were extremely professional and competent, explaining the problem and taking care of everything smoothly and completely.

They sell clocks, watches and do repairs. They are extraordinary for clock and watch repair and also have a limited selection of new and used clocks. It is an interesting place; I stopped in because I used to drive past them all the time and I needed a watch band. They are really nice people and their pricing is cheap. I love going in there.

He is honest, reasonable and trustworthy. They also have a quick turn around.

The price wasn't unreasonable; it wasn't cheap but it was a fair price. They were pleasant and they took about a week to fix it.

I had inherited a grandfather clock and had moved it from another state. I looked at the Miller Howard website and couldn't figure out how to really set it up so I looked for a clock repair person. I scheduled an evening appointment. They were delayed due to traffic but none the less they showed up. They also called to let us know they were running late. When they looked at the clock they said that they could just set it up for $125 or they could take it in and do a total overhaul for $425. It hadn't been run in 3 years but we thought we'd take our chances. It took them around an hour to oil the gears, set up the weights and try it out. It is now keeping perfect time and chiming every 15 minutes.
